Towel policy - they changed towels every morning despite us hanging them up as required. This is a definite black mark for the hotel and extremely frustrating- especially after their emotive plea to guests to save the planet

Noisy outside because in central location Despite usual hotel request to us to hang up towels, in order to save washing them, which we did, they were still changed each morning. When will hotels admit their hypocrisy? This happens in every hotel we stay in

After booking I communicated with the hotel and they were very helpful. However having been confirmed that our rooms would be next to each other as it was our son’s birthday sadly this was not the case. Our room at the front of the hotel was lovely but the other room wasn’t so great.

Couldn’t figure out how to work air con and windows didn’t open very far. No extractor fan or window in bathroom so atmosphere was always a bit warm and muggy.

Breakfast was fine—I didn’t try hot buffet which looked less appealing (we had breakfast quite late) but the cold buffet selection was very good. No view from hotel room—just overlooking a light well—but on Saturday night with football fans celebrating in the main square right next door before and after “French FA cup” that was a good thing! Otherwise location was perfect—central but not manic. Water dispenser—with chilled and sparkling—by lift was useful.

I had booked a room for the disabled and you can imagine our horror when we arrived at the front of the hotel and there were four large stone steps to gain access with no ramp. My husband is in a wheelchair. The staff were very attentive in helping with the chair but it somewhat restricted us from going in and out freely as we wanted to.

The situation of the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was good but expensive. Coffee awful!

It was a shame that we looked out into another building, but this did mean that it was quiet.

The location was excellent and the room was very clean with a lovely bathroom. We loved the access to cold water too.

Hotel was having fairly major redecoration works which was not mentioned on Booking.com, their excuse was - its on our website! They should update all booking portals. Throughout the stay the stairs were covered in protective covering and the lobby was being painted day and night. The staff were a little unusual, in the bar at night staff members were in there (no idea if they were supposed to be on duty) however the bar maid spent the whole night asking the other staff for advice. it was just a bit strange Breakfast was very average

The hotel is under renovation so there are some area that is not properly decorated.

The room is quite spacious. Location is in the centre, very convenient to walk around. Breakfast is selective.

The breakfast room was very attractive, but the food was not set out very well and could have been rather more adequate. The coffee from the 2 machines was of poor quality.

Amazing view from room overlooking the Grand Place. Very comfortable bed. Good shower. Excellent position in centre of city, near train stations. Reception staff very helpful. The decoration of the hotel with some older furniture and some modern designs and materials was very attractive.

the toilet space was way too small. the construction works outside and at the ground floor entry area made the entrance less attractive. I believe once they finish - it will be a gorgeous place from outside too.

The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was nice. I love the sparkling water which you can get from the hall with the variable degree of sparkling. The location is perfect - just the centre close to all restaurants and attractions but not on a busy street. Parking is just 4min walking from the hotel.

Lovely old hotel with original features. Renovations are taking place and they are doing an excellent job. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Tasty continental breakfast, plenty of choice. Great location in centre of Lille . Easy access to train stations. Lots of nice restaurants. Beautiful old buildings. The old town and cathedral definitely worth a visit.

Room was quite small, paper cups instead of crockery or glass in the room, safe didn’t work (it was closed) and we told staff twice about this but the problem wasn’t remedied

While the hotel itself does not offer parking, there is a 24hr multi-story garage within a 5 minute walk. When we visited in mid-April 2024, the lobby area was being re-modeled, and it appeared that several upper floors were being worked on. This caused only a minor inconvenience, and is clearly temporary.

The Grand Hotel Bellevue is in a great location to enjoy the offerings of central, historical Lille. There's a vibrant student community, a train station close by, and several historical buildings of interest in the immediate vicinity. We also liked the shopping available within a few minutes walk. The rooms are well equipped and the breakfast was outstanding.

The drains in my room were smelly . This didn’t entirely go away when attended to .

Excellent location .Very comfortable room with plenty of space and good decor . Quiet . Plenty of sockets and good lighting on bed . Bathroom looked new and shower powerful . Staff attentive and helpful . Tea and coffee making facilities . Water dispensers on the corridors . Breakfast very good .
