Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe front desk staff could have been more forthcoming with the region, recommendations, and suggestions. Our roof level room had many ceiling angles created a feeling of being socked in. Next time, I would take a balcony room for ceiling height. There are skylights but we could not figure out how to close the light off. We chose the 6th floor for the space which was great with an added sitting area. The elevator only reaches the 5th floor, so to reach the 6th, a spiral staircase must be taken from 5th floor to 6th. It is very steep and difficult to manage with large suitcases or with any sort of leg issues. Choose 5th floor or less. The climate control was finicky, a little drafty when we could get it going. The hotel is much smaller than expected but lovely.
Great location. Quiet and very close to some awesome areas. The breakfast was lovely with many selections, generous, and so delicious. The views from our windows were picturesque Paris! Filled with history and a few blocks away from the craziness of the Moulin Rouge streets. The personal note in the room was special. The Mirror / TV was great to have but not be seen, in the room. The elevators are so tiny / old, so be very careful about suitcase size at this hotel.

United StatesNothing. Prepare yourself for a small room but all Paris hotels are small.
Beautiful boutique hotel in a fun location! The staff was very nice and upgraded us for our honeymoon. The room was very well decorated and we had a little view of opera.

It is our favorite hotel in Paris! And it never disappoints us. The location, friendly and attentive staff as well as cozy super clean rooms keep us coming back time after time ! Special thanks to Emma for creating a special atmosphere for my daughter’s birthday! Room upgrade, cake ordering ( it was absolutely delicious) and always stay in touch even before our arrival! Thanks to Olivia at the front desk for her friendly and thoughtful attention and service ! Highly recommended!

United KingdomThe room was on the small side and we were at the back so it was a bit dark. We didn't expect anything larger though as this is normal for Paris!
The location is excellent. It's right in the heart of the best eating area and very vibrant. It's easy to walk everywhere from here. I loved all of the amenities in the bathroom and thoughtful touches like a chocolate on our pillow. Best of all are the staff. The guy that served our breakfast was smiling all the time and very friendly as were the staff at the front desk. The breakfast was exceptional. Insanely good pancakes!

United KingdomThe street was pretty noisy, but then that’s Paris. Also, the Metro line ran right underneath the hotel.
Reception staff friendly and helpful. Room was a bit on the small side but well decorated and furnished. There were some great shops and restaurants right near the hotel.

United StatesReally not much at all, just no air conditioning which is common in Paris
Room was small but didn't really matter to use since most of our time was spent out exploring Paris. The hotel is in a great location close to Montmartre and transit options. The staff was very helpful and we really loved our stay here! Only thing I would be aware of is the room got a bit stuffy at night so we had to open the window which introduced some street noise.

AustriaThe music at the reception area clashes with the music from the restaurant which results in a rather annoying undistinguishable noise. At breakfast, you are welcomed with loud music that seems mostly to serve the restaurant staff and ruins the otherwise easy going atmosphere of the hotel.
Wonderful interior design and small, but lovely balconies.

United KingdomThe size of the room isn't very big. However that is very typical of Paris and so once we realised that it wasn't an issue! The bathroom didn't have a window so it felt a little bit damp but it wasn't a massive problem as we weren't there for long.
The location of the hotel is amazing. Close to the Montmarte area and the area of St Georges which was lovely. There are so many great bars and restaurants around and a really cool feel to the place. We had a balcony with seats which was a really great addition to the room and meant we enjoyed spending time in the room as well as exploring Paris. The bed was really comfy and we could see the sacre couer from the balcony. The staff were really helpful giving us a late check out as well and always nice and welcoming. My boyfriend was running the marathon and the day before and of the event they left notes and treats for him which was a really lovely touch.

United KingdomWe arrived in Paris for our honeymoon and received the warmest welcome from the reception staff. We were lucky enough to get upgraded which was a wonderful surprise! The decor and design of the hotel is stunning, they really have finished it to a beautiful standard. The room was immaculate, as was the bathroom. We really appreciated the extra touches - soft fluffy towels and robes, slippers, high end toiletries, Nespresso machine, huge comfortable bed with crisp white sheets. Perfect in every way! The breakfast was brilliant, good choices and served in the lovely Frenchie restaurant. The location is fantastic too, we will definitely stay here again!

United KingdomWe booked a family room via booking.com which was described as two rooms with a central area with seating and television. This suited us because our daughter wanted privacy but not separation. On check-in we were told there was no such room.
The rooms were comfy, clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and the location was excellent.

CanadaCutest gem in Pigalle! Great location, the staff upgraded us for the night, which was sooooo appreciated. We had to change our stay because we had a death in the family and chose to go leave Paris sooner than expected to attend a funeral, so changed our booking from 4 nights to 1. The room was amazing. The windows, the bathroom, the decor - loved all of it.

United KingdomThe only thing I can feedback that I was disappointed about was the fruit platter that came alongside the fizz. It was 2 bananas, a mouldy pear and a soft apple which was all left untouched. I had envisioned and appetising fresh fruit platter sliced up to accompany the fizz (similar to how you serve the breakfast fruit). I wish it was only the bottle of fizz that was in the room as it almost cheapened it. Everything else was spot on and would come back to stay in future.
The location was great, 3 minutes from Pigalle tube and the surrounding area was full of great bars and spots to eat. 5 minute walk to Montmartre which we loved. The breakfast was fantastic and all of the staff could not have been more welcoming. We were given a balcony in our room which was such a bonus and they had made extra efforts for my Mum's 60th Birthday by leaving a happy birthday message on the mirror. Lovely touch walking into the room and hearing some jazz music. I had paid a €70 for the fizz and fruit option and a lovely bottle of Champagne was already chilling in the room for our arrival.
