Bit surprised the draft beer on offer at the bar was Heineken I was expecting something French. Also the parking situation wasn’t great as seems some guests with fancy cars take more than one space and perhaps other vehicles are people visiting the restaurant? Either way both nights I stayed there were issues with parking and hotel guests should be allocated and guaranteed a reserved car park space.

Make sure to book your dinner in advance, we didn’t get a space in the restaurant and had to take room service, which wasn’t great with kids.

No possibility at 9pm for dinner or desert although there was availability in the restaurant. At the bar there is not much of a menu and it’s really small. The bartender however is very kind and makes nice drinks.

The whole state overall was nice because of the location and the staff at the reception was really friendly

We arrived on a Sunday. Very little open in the town and the restaurant at the hotel was not open either. We had room service but the portion size was very small, the food did taste nice though so wasn’t completely unsatisfied.

Breakfast was great and quiet room. We had a great stay would definitely recommend.

Paper drinking cups in the room! They get too hot to hold when making a cup of tea/coffee.

The team could not book the restaurant for us we had to go on line to do so. Seemed a bit silly.

There is a stunning restaurant on site. Not run by the hotel but you can charge to your room. Eat there it is well worth it. Great location and very friendly team.

It is an experience in itself every time you go there. The hotel is gorgeous, perfectly located at the heart of the lovely Bourges and its amazing cathedral. The hotel offers free secure car parks (×2). The staff is trully great, the adjacent restaurant worth paying a visit. You will not regret staying at this hotel. Most likely the best in town.

Just quite expensive

It’s a perfectly nice hotel, only quite expensive for what it is. There is a gym, small but ok. The bar is nice but expensive. The restaurant is closed on Sundays. There is an amazing bakery a couple of houses down, Simon Pains (or something like that) so worth going there for breakfast

The room had many mod cons yet the hair dryer could not be plugged in conveniently close to a mirror.

A very pleasant hotel in an historic building with a small, pretty garden which provides an atmospheric outside seating and bar area for warm evenings, and a wonderfully quirky and dramatic dining room in the former chapel. It is well placed right next to the splendid Prés Fichaux Garden, less than ten minutes’ walk from the old centre of the town, and about five from the railway station. The staff are charming and did their best to help when a local train strike threatened to delay my arrival. The rooms are comfortable, the scrambled eggs at breakfast particularly good.

I requested a quiet room but unfortunately my room was next to a busy road. There was a lot of noise during the night which woke me up several time. I suspect room 218 is above the kitchens.

Mostly everything. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and made allowances for my limited French speaking ability. Lovely gardens, very clean hotel. Will be back with my Wife for a long weekend.
