The room was basic with a comfortable bed and some hanging space but didn’t quite match the nice bathroom.

Location in the Marais is fantastic. Easy walking to Notre Dame area and close to Hotel de Ville metro. Staff were friendly and helpful and room had a great outlook. The bathroom was small but stylish.

We liked that it had a comfortable bed with a nice TV, good internet connection, a nice shower that was spacious and a great bed, towel and cleaning service. We also liked that they included breakfast every morning for a decent price.

Rooms were mucky, not very clean, could do with a paint and a revamp the hotel has huge potential!

The hotel was in a great location, staff were super friendly and helpful, baggage storage was free which surprised me due to location! The hotel rooms are outdated could do with a paint decorating as it is a fantastic hotel and I could see a lot of potential!

The room was small and a little outdated. The most unpleasant aspect was the age of the mattresses and how uncomfortable they were. You could feel each individual spring pushing up into your body. At least a mattress topper would allow for the extended age of these beds and improve comfort. The bar across the street is constantly busy most evenings until around 1:00AM, so I would not recommend this place to light sleepers. We got by through pure exhaustion at the end of each day.

The room was constantly clean thanks to the staff. The front desk staff were also very accommodating and kind. A highlight was the umbrellas available for use in the lobby and the shoe cleaner. Made the rainy days just that little bit more bearable. The location is also superb! Surrounded by restaurants and just a block away from a train station. Walking distance to so much shopping.

The room was really small and the bathroom was tiny. If you are a bigger person you probably won't fit in the shower. The bed is also on the smaller side.

The receptionist was very friendly and allowed us to check in earlier. We are very thankful for that. The location is very central and everything you need is near.

The bed was a bit firm for my liking, but my husband likes a firmer mattress. On the top floor it was a little warm.

Everything was fine, but I noticed the absence of a fan or air conditioner. In May the temperatures are nice and no cooling is needed, but I can imagine that with a high temperature in summer it could become rather warm and stuffy in the room.

Hotel du Loiret is at an excellent location in the Marais, close to the Metro system, good bars and restaurants, and in walking distance from the Notre Dam, the Seine, the Louvre and many other museums.

Lack of tea/ coffee facilities in the room (kettle) as do not attend breakfasts in hotel but like a cup of tea in bed whilst away on vacation.

Reception man on checking out day was very rude to me and charged me €5 pp per night city tax. This was 3 times the normal city taxes which have been brought in for the Olympic year at Paris. They were not that amount on my booking.com paperwork. I don’t mind paying but it was the manner in which he explained it and was so rude saying we are not charging you the city is. I tried to explain my view that it would have been nice to have been informed by the hotel at check in or via booking com website instead of being charged at checkout by surprise.

The walls between the rooms are very thin…but otherwise good!

It is very good value for money, I think like 300m from centre, it was clean (everyday they cleaned our room and made beds), the staff were very nice and helpful (we borrowed the bottle opener and we could leave bags after the check out), also the windows were very tight, we could sleep through the night and it is also near some good restaurants.
