Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLack of tour inside the ground in English and I was there for 24 hrs when I found out about the rooms in which Bernadette used and died. Then I join a Spanish group tour.
Everything: location, mass, spiritual place for meditation.

United KingdomIt cannot be said the room is comfortable. In my case it was OK as I was visiting St. Bernadette so this modest style is kind of feeing authenticity. I would expect a better bed and bathroom for an ordinary tourism or holiday. This is different.
This is more than a perfect stay for pilgrimage to St Bernadette. Experience is probably very close to what sisters in the past including St Bernadette were having. Everything is clean but modest and least so it cannot be said value for money in the meaning of this modern world. It looks once sisters were using these rooms. Noviciat where sisters used to gather is in the same building. This is where St Bernadette talked about St Mary to all the sisters when arrived. The room where St Bernadette passed away was on the same floor, may be just 30 steps or something. It is so easy to visit St Bernadette herself in the same building and pray. A huge garden where St Bernadette went for a walk is there so I followed her pass there up to the statue of St Mary that St Bernadette said this is most similar to St Mary she met. This statue is at far end of the garden so better ask the reception where otherwise it will be missed easily. It is as if integrated in the world of St Bernadette. In this sense this place is so special. Unforgettable experience for the lifetime. I arrived around 13:00 instead of 16:00 the time I said in the message to the place in advance. There was no problem. Receptionists vary. Some of them are very kind and friendly some are not. Once the gate and the door are closed at 18:00 a separate code given is to open both of them.

PhilippinesThe room is really within the facilities/compound where the incorruptible body of St. Bernadette was also placed. And it is really a one life time opportunity to pray and to ask for graces in front of her.

BelgiumTo get into the hotel/sanctuary was a bit of a search. The room very compact. The breakfast is gloomy. Does it have to do with "it's a shrine?"

United StatesFor it being a Catholic organization, I was really sad to see that there were not crucifixes in each room and not more lovely, timeless Catholic art. This is a place where pilgrims from all over the world come and it would be nice if it felt more sacred and less like a sterile hospital complex. Modern art and architecture sort of take away from the ambiance and historical continuity and don’t really fit with the exterior (an example of this is the strange modern “table” altar in St Bernadette’s room where she died).
