Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe unorthodox bar / drinks arrangement resulted in (otherwise attentive) staff missing our wine order with our meal. An uncharacteristic shortcoming where such close attention to detail in every aspect of the premises' design and operation is so evident.
Fabulous conversion and modernisation without loosing the character of the original farm. Charming.

Such a spacious, beautifully maintained property with lots of areas for sitting. Amazed at the library, dress up box, trampoline and lovely pool. Our room shared a comfortable living space and kitchen. The staff is most helpful.

SwitzerlandThis vacation was everything we were hoping for: incredible breakfast (with loads of homemade phenomenal different jams), fantastic hosts and caring staff in an all around beautiful location. The perfect spot from which to explore the nearby areas including the cities of Arles, Nîmes and Avignon, but also smaller places like Les Baux-de-Provence or Saint-Rémy-de-Provence. We travelled by train to the nearby Nîmes-Pont-du-Gard train station and rented a car there which was the most convenient thing to do. Only a short 15 to 20 minutes by car to the hotel. The hotel also arranged a private yoga lesson for us which was superb! We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Switzerlandnothing negative, really. From my perspective a little more chicane of dishes for dinner would have been great, but they don’t have a restaurant and offer small cold plates, which are great.

United StatesThe pool is beautiful but needs some safety measures. Warning about depths, at least one life preserver since most of the pool is quite deep and impossible for a poor or non swimmer to help anyone in trouble.
Beautiful setting in lovely Provence countryside very near Avignon - a magnificent town. Just the quintessential country domaine.

United StatesWe booked 2 rooms for our family 4 months before arrival (we have two teens). They weren’t able to accommodate the two rooms next to each other and gave us as an excuse that these were two different rates and put as in two far away and separate sections. Suggest if you have a situation like ours to contact the hotel well in advance since they are not very accommodating on spot. The staff was friendly and servicial, except for the afternoon receptionist who made us feel like we were a burden.
We loved the location, a hotel inside a farm, surrounded by olive, fig, apricot, and several other trees and vineyards. It felt very Provance. The pool was excellent, large, deep, perfect temperature surrounded by a beautiful garden. Breakfast was excellent and included local confitures and juices. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable all in farm style (we stayed in the rose room), the bathroom however was on the smaller side.

ItalyWe found the swimming pool closed. We asked and there was a temporary stop for de chlorine, but they could not tell us how long it would stay closed. Probably the poolside could have stayed available for guests. Apart from this episode everything was perfect.

SwitzerlandI would have preferred more hot options for breakfast (scrambled eggs, omelette, etc). Cost for a young child for this kind of breakfast is also not reasonable. Our apartment has very worn couches and initially had a terrible smell of sewage from the bathroom. The management did do something promptly to resolve the smell when we complained.
Beautiful property and nicely decorated common spaces. The staff were lovely and helpful. Breakfast was very good but very expensive especially for no prepared hot foods apart from hard boiled eggs.
