Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaWiFi wasn’t working which is particularly problematic as phone reception is also very poor within the building.
Lovely rooms and building, very hospitable host. Very easy to park with small carpark next door.

Charming, spacious room in a lovely old private residence. Excellent location, delicious breakfast with a homemade touch. Emily could not have been more helpful. She even gave me a ride back from the Toulouse airport when I had to drop off my car since she was picking up her dad there. Our stay at Maison d’Hotes Delga was a highlight of a long trip.

The room was spacious, stylish, clean and comfortable. It exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was plentiful and extremely enjoyable sitting near the pool. Amelie was the perfect host, informative and very friendly. She ensured our stay was perfect. We would not hesitate at all in recommending Maison d'hoses Delga to anybody looking for high quality bed & breakfast accommodation in central Gaillac.

United KingdomIt was all perfect!
The attention to detail was fantastic- a beautiful and impeccably decorated hotel which felt like a home from home. We had a lovely relaxing time by the pool before heading out into Gaillac on foot. We had a very comfortable night in our room, and the bath in the room was an added bonus. Breakfast was served around the pool in the morning. Home made jams, ham and cheese plus the most delicious waffles!

AustraliaI rarely score a property 10/10 but this place deserves it. The rooms are gorgeous with comfortable beds and overlook the lovely pool. There are only a few rooms so you will have lovely peace and quiet. Breakfast is good with great coffee and fabulous pastries and baguettes with homemade conserves. Emelia the host is the epitome of hospitality and generosity. We were able to easily source free parking at the lot next door as we stayed over the weekend and you only pay for more than 2 hours during the work days. I would return here in a heartbeat and will happily recommend to my friends and any fellow travellers. You will not be disappointed!

United KingdomThe morning when we had to leave but we will be back, Gaillac will now be on the itinerary for our annual summer trip to France
Everything. The house is historic and beautiful, in a quiet spot but only a couple of minutes walk from bars, restaurants, shops, museums etc. The room was very large, airy and beautifully furnished. The pool was perfect after a days sightseeing. Breakfast was super and presented with loving care. Evening meals and an honesty bar are available and the terrace is perfect for eating out. But most of all this place is special because of your host who is so friendly, helpful and ever smiling.

United KingdomThe only thing that could have been improved was the WiFi connection which worked but was a bit patchy in my room. Not a major issue though.
The breakfast was amazing - there was fresh fruit, croissants, delicious fresh bread, ham and cheese, yoghurt, really good homemade jams, tea and coffee, and a hot something (waffles, pain perdu) every morning by the pool. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with a lovely bathroom, air con, and plenty of space for hanging clothes etc. The whole hotel was clean, cool, and spacious - and we particularly enjoyed the pool and the beautiful garden. Finally, Émilie was a really lovely host and looked after us very well - as well as welcoming us so kindly, she gave us tips for things to do and places to eat in the local area, and helped with arranging transport locally. Thank you very much!

AustraliaIt has no lift which can be challenging with lots of/heavy luggage.
Host Emilie was wonderful and provided clear instructions for arrival, and lots of local knowledge suggestions. The hotel is beautifully restored and presented and the light breakfast served in the garden was perfect. The location is perfect being 50 mts to the main square with lots of bars and restaurants.
