Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomToilet totally separate from the bathroom (across entrance hall) with its own wash basin but no towel or soap. No soap in bathroom either and do had to use shower gel in shower. Staff at breakfast did not man the entrance desk and although at least 3 on duty all were in the kitchen for over 5 minutes so we ended up just sitting at a table and helping ourselves.
Great room and extremely friendly staff on reception.

United StatesI thought this facility had laundry and is one of the reasons I booked here. Also the hot tub wasn't hot but had cool water, which was unexpected.
Felt safe in the midst of a college town, roomy and comfortable. Liked the steam room and pool area. Staff is super helpful. Easy to walk to the train station, the office of tourism and many places to eat.

United KingdomNot much negativity, the only thing for the rooms would be the TV, outdated (not a smart TV, couldn't connect to anything) and pretty small for the room sizes, we checked other rooms too, and it was the same throughout. The hot tub wasn't great, warm temperature and was constantly switching itself off, not sure if this was intended or not, but definitely not something I was expecting. Not the hotel itself, but travelling by bus, you'll need the app or get a day ticket to travel these services. Honestly France is so far behind in travelling, no idea why they dont make everything contactless would be so much easier to travel like London/UK
Room was very spacious and the beds comfortable. Bathroom facilities were impeccable, especially the shower. Pool and sauna were amazing, we spent most evenings in there. Ideal location, close to train station and in the centre of town. The whole town is easy to navigate in general. Great selection of breakfast choices, mostly continental, but there is cooked food buffet style available.

Good hotel near the train station. Kids loved the pool. Stayed in the family room and was very spacious. Had an issue with the room type when we arrived but it was sorted out in a helpful and professional manner. Very good breakfast with good accommodations for gluten free. Would stay again.

United KingdomOn the website it states there is parking. There is, but costs €25 per day. The room had three missing panes of glass between the bedroom and shower. There was mould in the shower and some lights were broken in the bedroom. At checkout we were presented with a non itemised bill. We paid it. We then asked to see the bill itemised to learn that we had been charged for two breakfasts even though our booking didn’t include breakfasts and we had only had one breakfast there. We were told at Reception that we could order Omelette at the breakfast, we couldn’t. The scrambled eggs were not good. Reception advised us that supermarkets were closed on Sunday and we acted accordingly. Later we found out they were open until 12.30pm. When you book on booking.com and select for two people and pay, you discover that it is for one person and have to pay a second person supplement, which we did at check in. So be very careful with booking and bill at checkout.
Very centrally located, with a generous sized car park. Good swimming pool and steam room

The hotel from the internet seemed very modern - but was a little tired. The room was of reasonable size. The hotel is centrally located in Tours. The hotel had a Spa which was an added plus.

United KingdomIt was all fine.
It was very near things which is one of our favourite things, apart from being a long way away. We don’t like being reasonably near as it doesn’t really mean much and makes it difficult to think with any clarity or keep from bickering about money. Just across the road from the hotel is the hotel de ville which I’m told was designed by the famous Spanish architect Jose Flamingo who converted into a town hall and leisure centre for the disabled and people with ADHP. On the corner there is a restaurant which sells spaghetti bolognaise and toast, and along the road is a shopping centre which sells things from coats to pieces of nice cake. Will be staying at this hotel again but for more days and night next time so that we get a chance to visit the station and church.

FranceThe hotel bar is shut on a Sunday, though bars are close by but very busy. Maybe being a 4 star hotel consider fitting bedroom bar fridge’s. Pool steps are dangerous to get in and out off. No pool towels asked a member of staff, said they would bring some but they never arrived.
Location was great, we stayed on a Sunday when the hotel’s restaurant was closed. We didn’t have to walk far as there are many restaurants close by. Good secure parking. Had a comfortable nights sleep.

Also at breakfast we were the only couple in the breakfast room and all tables were free and yet the lady on duty felt it necessary to clear away the plates from our table whilst I was STILL EATING the food from one of them
