Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesReception and elevator was on the first floor so you had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs. Shower was powerful but hand held so you had to juggle it during your shower.
It was clean and comfortable with a nice location. There were able to accommodate my husband’s gluten-free diet for breakfast. The staff was helpful and responsive to messages I asked about parking and luggage drop off prior to arrival.

AustraliaAlthough we asked for a quiet room, we were facing the main street which was quite noisy. We could also hear noise from the rooms next door. The room was quite small with basically no room for luggage. There were no tea or coffee in the room. We were provided with a kettle and cups once we asked for them but the room attendant didn't even bother to dust off the kettle before giving it to us. The lady at the reception who was there during the weekdays was not very friendly and didn't even look up as we approached the desk or as we walked in and out of the hotel. She probably would not recognize whether we were patrons or not. She made us wait for about 5 minutes on check out when we approached the desk, didn't look up or acknowledge us, just went about her business while we stood there waiting. The reception desk and lift is on the first floor, which means you need to carry your luggage up a flight of winding staircase.
The hotel was in a very handy location. The room was clean and nicely decorated with a nice bathroom.

United StatesThe only thing I can point out is the bathroom smell. Not really sure what that was but I’m sensitive to any odors especially in the bathroom. I would rather it to smell like cleaning supplies than anything else that can make me feel like it’s not 100% clean. Visibly tho it was looking good.
Location is perfect. So close to everything. And despite to be on a very busy street it wasn’t noisy at all.

United StatesOur room was very tight. I understand that the real estate in Paris is limited, but the room was difficult to navigate with two people and luggage. The shower/tub would have been lovely had it possessed an overhead shower head...It was almost impossible not to get the bathroom floor wet as well.
The receptionist, Heidi, was extremely helpful in suggesting things to see and specific places to shop and eat. The other reception workers were not as friendly. The hotel is in a great location that is very pedestrian and central to many sights, as well as the metro line. Housekeeping was great.

United StatesThe room was small, as is expected in a large European city. I don’t recall seeing in any of the info that you had to climb a steep winding staircase to get to reception. It was ok for us, but I can imagine that would be an issue for some people.
The breakfast was good and very convenient. There could have been more choices. The breakfast service was excellent.

United StatesReally loud at night. I stayed a Saturday and Sunday night and both nights it was hard to sleep from the noise outside. My view was overlooking a McDonalds. Staff ranged from indifferent (mostly) to rude (one woman).
Clean room and good location walking distance from everything and close to the metro.

RussiaWhen I booked the room - the terms were that "no prepayment, but hotel can hold the money to check credit card" - and they holded all amount of stay until the day I arrived. So I have to have twice more money with me at the day of arrivel because I need to pay and the money were hold on card (so I couldn't use them). Support in Boking couldn't help me as hotel "checked my card" all that time. It caused lots of inconvinience - pay attention if you have limited amount of money on your card. When I arrived, I waited 20 minutes at reception where nobody was. I saw buggage of other travellers kept unattended.
Location is amazing! 2 minutes to the metro station to the airports (both - main and Orly) or other city locations. I had a great view from the window, room is tidy and clean, perfect size for one person.

United KingdomIt was very noisy on the Saturday night into the early hours as it is on a busy street with a McDonalds opposite - we were so tired we fell asleep but I could see this being a problem for a lot of people. Air con was not working luckily the balcony doors opened as the room is so small is was stifling - this would be horrendous in summer Breakfast was available to buy but sitting in reception is not the ideal scenario with people checking in/out as there is no separate breakfast room. Room was tired in places and needed a good dust on the doors and skirting boards but the bathroom and bed sheets were immaculately clean No coffee/tea making facilities in room was disappointing - especially as i was travelling with a Child so earlier to bed than normal
The location of the hotel was fantastic with the metro on the doorstep to take you wherever you want to go in Paris - also a bonus 2 stops to Gare Du Nord from St Michele Notre Dame. So many lovely restaurants which are much more reasonably priced than the ones near the attractions. We also ate breakfast out as we chose not to take breakfast at the hotel - Bo&Mie have the most amazing food

LithuaniaI wish it had some more space or closet room to keep clothes and some more light for night time. There were two bedside lamps plugged in to the sockets and if you have to charge phones, you have to take those out and then you really have no other light in the room except for a small table lamp, which was insufficient. Also, size of the room was a bit small but it was still perfect for a couple for few nights. The hotel unlike 3-star hotels in other European cities does not offer disposable room slippers, so make sure to carry yours.
Location of the hotel takes the cake for me. Room was clean, very comfortable bed and sufficient toiletries. The staff was friendly and the balcony view is absolutely worth it. During the day, there is a lot of natural light. And metro/train stations are next to the hotel.
