Best place I stayed in during this trip. I could live here :-) Beautiful, quiet, spacious and nicely decorated studio. Comfortable bed, huge bathroom with great shower. All the supplies you could ask for (coffee/tea, shampoo etc, good wifi, even Netflix) On top of that I got a delicious breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, different kinds of bread. Very friendly owners live nextdoor. Could park my bike safely in their shed. A few minutes walk to the abbey, which is very much worth taking a few hours to visit.

Beautifully renovated studio in the center of the village close to the abbey, comfortable and well appointed. Both bedroom and bathroom are very tastefully done. Breakfast is exceptional, not your typical French breakfast of a roll and coffee, but fruit, yogurt, breads with jam, cheese and ham.... A very nice stay with great hosts.... Thank you!

Everything was outstanding and perfect in every way….. a beautiful little property that is exceptionally well presented and decorated…..the bed was extremely comfortable, the shower superb and the complimentary breakfast was amazing. The property is in the heart of the village with its iconic abbey and nearby there is a brilliant restaurant….what more could anyone want…just perfect.

Arrival late at night to a super cute place with everything all perfectly arranged with lots of thoughtful touches, inc wine [very much appreciated after a long & hot journey]! It was exceptionally hot with a heatwave well under way; Gavin & Jac had provided a fan, & were really considerate checking on us, doing what they could, offering extra light bedding, towels etc. The breakfast was just lovely, far exceeded what we would expect of a B & B, lots of fresh everything. Unfortunately [& pretty stupidly!] we left some precious belongings behind as we moved on to the Charente region. Gavin & Jacqueline went out of their way to help us be reunited with them. Despite lots of messages & arrangements as to how to get these things, they never lost patience & really happily helped in many ways. They really were fabulous going above & beyond! We can't thank you enough Gav & Jac! Xxx

Spacious apartment with kitchenette, large bathroom, large and comfortable bed, just off the road with free parking across the road and a few minutes walk to the abbey and restaurants. Very nice breakfast delivered to the door by our friendly and helpful hosts. The best stay in 4 weeks across the top of Italy and through France. Highly recommend.

Everything was good and all that you need is here on the first floor of a barn conversion with kitchenette, big shower room, comfy bed and good telly with Netflix. Easy stroll to abbey and secure bicycle storage. Very good breakfast

There was nothing not to like....excellent stay.

The hosts Gavin & Jacqueline were wonderful and the accommodation was fantastic. We had breakfast brought to us spot-on for the time it was ordered and my what a breakfast, you won't go hungry with what's provided.

Gavin and his wife are excellent hosts! The room was very clean, the kitchen has all that you need for your stay, the bathroom is spacious. We loved the breakfast that they brought to us every morning with croissants, baguette and fruits. The hosts are really nice and very helpful. The place is walking distance from l'Abbey, restaurants and the town in general. There are other towns very close by. There is free parking across the street. We fully recommend Studio La Grange for your stay in Fontevraud. Thanks to our hosts for a great experience!

The apartment is spacious and well equipped, having been recently been renovated. The location is handy to the abbey, visitors' information office, and town centre. Secure storage space was available for bikes. We awoke to a superb french-style breakfast. But the biggest positive was the wonderful hosts, Gavin and Jacqui. They live on the property and were available to offer advice and help us with tasks such as washing and grocery shopping. They did everything they could to give us a lovely experience.

Very cosy and welcoming accommodation, decorated with great taste. It has everything you need to make your stay pleasant. The breakfast is exquisite and more than copious, with local products. Perfect location to visit the Loire Valley and its castles. The charming hosts are always available.

I liked everything.

Studio La Grange was absolutely beautiful. in my four weeks doing a circuit of France it was the best place I stayed. The hosts were exceptionally helpful. Spacious, stylish, private accommodation a short walk from the Abbey, and lovely breakfast.

Nothing. But do look up and book ahead to L’Icorne, le Garage or Chez Mimi in advance. We couldn’t get in on spec on a Friday at the end of August. We ate at Le Delice at the other end of the town. Not bad but expensive for the quality.

Beautiful but understated decor in room. A very generous sized bed, lovely, modern bathroom. Excellent, plentiful breakfast. Super owners. Very close to the Abbey.

Breakfast was superb - fresh, great selection, and presented personally by the owners. Location is central to some amazing villages & towns, rivers, sightseeing, and general entertainment. Also easy drive to other major parts of France.
