We very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was very large and comfortable. The hotel is gorgeous! Flore and her staff were very friendly and helpful. We hope to return again.

The chateau is beautiful, photos do not do it justice. It is more impressive in real life. The building, the staircase, the grounds, all are beautiful. The rooms are very spacious. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. An atmosphere of calm prevails throughout. Old beautiful with modern amenities such as a reliable lift and efficient air conditioning and we were there on some very hot days. The parking is secure behind a security gate right next to the chateau. You can have breakfast outside in the beautiful grounds which is a lovely start to the day. It is a 12 minute walk at a slow pace as it was so hot into the old town of Samaur which was also perfect. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Beautiful place in the middle of town but private and quiet. The chateau is lovely, set in extensive grounds with an inviting outdoor pool. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Room comfortable and attractively furnished. Everything to like, nothing to dislike.

Its been wonderful stay! Hotel itself has a great “vibe” of a very authentic Château yet it is comfortable, well maintained and clean. Owners family members are amazing and I would like to thank them for a great service. I felt very welcome, even though my time schedule was very complicated.

Wonderful building (the photos don’t really do it justice) - we were blown away by the decor and the gardens. The staff are a credit to the owner, Flore. Everyone went out of her way to make our stay very special - to the extent that Flore even managed to secure a local restaurant reservation on what was a very busy weekend for Saumur. The breakfast was a particular highlight. We wish we could have stayed much longer and shall return for next year’s Anjou Vintage Velo weekend.

There was honestly nothing to dislike.

The actual building is beautiful. It is ornate with attention to detail on every wall ceiling and floor. The stained glass windows are breath taking. The gardens are well maintained and offered respite from the heat and were the perfect spot to share a bottle of bubbles. Highly recommend booking the spa for a couple of hours for a romantic night.

A very minor point. The stainless steel look pedal bins seemed out of place. Perhaps cream coloured matt look pedal bins would look less out of place ?

Flore and Jeremy were exceptional hosts - very kind and friendly. Recommended wonderful local restaurants for us. Great location close to centre of Saumur. Beautiful large room in ornately decorated (original) style and throughout the Chateau. Certainly our preferred location if/when we return to the Loire Valley.

Absolutely beautiful Chateau. Just stunning. The staff and the owners could not have been more accommodating and helpful,I only stayed for one night whilst travelling on my motorcycle and was sad to leave. A hidden gem in Saumur. I will definitely return. Thank you so much. Dan
