Every bit of the chateau and its surroundings is breathtaking! We were lucky to be able able to enjoy Sylvie and Alain's home for a few days! This is a real home, not a hotel - filled with history, art, beauty and happiness! Everything was exceptional!

An old property comes with old plumbing, so the shower water pressure wasn’t amazing; but that didn’t take any shine off our stay.

Alain was an excellent host! Warm welcome on arrival and great insights to share about this history of the property in answer to our questions over the great breakfast spread. Beautiful rooms (even nicer than the photos) and wonderfully comfortable bed. Highly, highly recommended!

Sylvie and Alain were the BEST HOSTS! Their kindnesses and generosity will always be a very fond memory for us. We have stayed at many B&Bs and theirs exceeds any others by far. For us, it was like a dream come true, being able to stay in a beautiful chateau for three nights. We stayed in the Sarah Bernhardt suite, which is quite lovely, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Alain and Sylvie helped us with planning our time visiting the Loire Valley chateaux and surroundings. Our stay with Sylvie and Alain was our favorite of our month-long holiday in France and we hope to return someday.

Alain was a wonderful host. He explained the history of his beautiful chateau with great enthusiasm and was very accommodating. The suite was delightful; full of old world charm and interesting antiques large and small. The breakfast was a true highlight. We shall return!

Alain and Sylvie were the most amazing hosts and we had such a wonderful stay at the chateau! We were truly made to feel at home with an incredible breakfast and laid back vibe. Unlike other chateaus which we we paid to visit during the day, this one is not filled with tourists (they only have 3 guest rooms) and is in very original condition with such beautiful decor - I couldn’t recommend it more!

Amazing old Chateau decorated with much thought by a charming couple who are also very interesting. Amazing value for money, superb breakfast and great location for visiting the Loire Chateaux. We were given a history of the house over breakfast that was not only very interesting but showed the couples love and care for the place. We would love to return another time and highly recommend. Very private within woodland ( easy to overshoot the entrance!). We were also recommended where to visit to make best use of our limited time and love for gardens.

The room is clean, large and pleasant, the hosts did everything to make the stay pleasant, the place is full of art objects, paintings and sculptures that give the place a special charm. The hosts shared with us the historical stories of the place - interesting and a very unique atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent.

Nothing, every little detail was perfect.

Everything about Chateau du Guérinet D'Orchaise exceeded our expectations. Our wonderful hosts Sylvie & Alain, who were so welcoming, kind and warm; the chateau itself is beautiful - filled with antique furniture, decor and gorgeous artwork; our room was so spacious with large windows, very comfortable bed, filled with treasures; and finally the breakfast was incredible making us feel like royalty. If you are planning a trip to the Loire Valley and want an authentic french chateau experience this is the place to stay.

Absolutely amazing to have stayed in this beautiful and well-maintained old chateau. What a beautiful room we had. The hosts were absolutely charming and full of information and very welcoming into their private space too. We will definitely come again when in the area, The breakfast was the best bit and the most varied of our whole vacation this year. Thanks you so much for the wonderful stay.

It was a little difficult to find for a foreigner. The GPS couldn't identify the exact location, but it got us into the area. A larger sign on the main road might help.

The hosts were very gracious wonderful people. The breakfast they provided exceeded our expectations. The bed was so comfortable and the room was spacious. We wished we could have stayed longer, but had other plans.

Aircon would have been great as it was very hot while we were there .. but we realise this is difficult to instal in a chateaux

A wonderful experience to stay in such a lovely Chateau in such a peaceful location. The hosts were very welcoming and ensured we had an enjoyable stay. The room was beautifully furnished and we particularly appreciated the very comfortable extra large bed. The breakfast was amazing, in a lovely setting. Everything we could has asked for was provided and set us up for the day. It was such a shame we only had one overnight stop there, as we were traveling south.

Wish I could give it 11! Beautiful Château (the sort of place you pay to visit in loire not stay!), incredible hosts. No need to say much more here - it's all been said in other reviews. Absolutely superb.
