Breakfast croissants and pain au chocolat were not up to standards. The sofa in the room was uncomfortable.

Beautiful chateau very well preserved. The room was very spacious with a big bathroom too. Great garden with a beautiful XVII century chapel.

We loved every single second spent at the château! Such an amazing place for charging your batteries in the middle of nature. The caste itself is gorgeous, and I've never met staff more friendly than at this place! Will definitely come back!

We enjoyed our 5 night stay very much. The chateau was wonderfully peaceful in its lovely park yet within an easy cycle trip to Nevers. We loved relaxing in and by the pool after our our days out. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing negative to report, definitely would go back. A longer version of this appears on undercoverofthewrite.com if you want more detail.

A magnificently preserved and restored 19th Century sandstone mansion in typical French style that whose storied past infuses you the moment you start climbing the stairs to the entrance; plentiful free parking; great wifi. This beautiful Château turned hotel has been carefully and caringly preserved to provide a genuine window to history, while including all modern amenities. The family room offered a comfortable bed and then, in a sort of loft conversion above, two further single beds to provide a huge living space. Excellent swimming pool and brilliant breakfast with good, fresh local pastries and plenty of choice.

We stayed for 3 nights and apart from checking in we didn’t see any hotel staff for the whole stay, not even at check out, we had pre paid so ended up just leaving our keys. The breakfasts were ok but the fruit wasn’t replenished at all during our stay so there was very little to choose from on day 3. Not really related to the hotel but there was an aeroplane doing aerobatics all day every day right over the hotel which was very noisy and spoilt what would otherwise have been a very peaceful stay.

Beautiful Chateau and the room was lovely and the pool area was very nice.

Having to leave so soon! We will definitely be back!

A beautiful property with huge amounts of character, in a most wonderful parkland setting that was a complete contrast and relaxing antidote to the Classic Days at Magny-Cours which we were visiting for. The room we enjoyed (Darjeeling) was beautiful, spacious and well appointed, with a fantastic view overlooking the rear grounds and lakes, which entertained us with a fantastic ‘frog chorus’ every evening and morning. Breakfast was in the beautifully restored cloister on the ground floor and was a lovely way to start each day.

A fridge in the room would have been nice but I am not sure there would be room. I would have liked an English translation of the history of the Chateau, my French is basic and I missed a lot trying to read the book on it - I would have loved to explore or tour the house - but given that the owners may still be living there it is understandable if they don’t want tourists tramping through their beautiful house!

Very beautiful old Chateau in gorgeous grounds with rabbits and red squirrels. the bedroom was beautifully furnished, stunning old painted ceilings. Breakfast was in what May have been the original cellar.. but now has windows and doors. Breakfast was a very good continental breakfast. We didn’t see the hosts, only the young woman who checked us in but we prefer the privacy. I wish we could have stayed more than one night.

The mattress was a little loose.

We stayed in the large double room, it was very pleasant. The cleanliness, the breakfast (great variety of food) the close distance to Nevers where we enjoyed a good dinner in Bistrot Saint-Sébastien (as suggested by our host)

Absolutely wonderful stay in a beautiful small castle. In the backyard there is a playground and trampoline for kids and a pool that looked lovely for the summertime. There is a small chapel from the 1500s just a short walk straight from the front door. My mother was visiting from the US and she loved this place. Excellent breakfast with many options for what to eat. Highly recommend.
