They don’t provide coffee or tea in the room, there is no restaurant although you can cook your own food in the outside kitchen by the pool

Our bathroom smelt of sewage and we had to put a towel over the drain hole . We told the man in the morning and he didn’t seem bothered. There also could have been a bar area

We stayed in the L'Orangerie room. We had an exceptional stay! Our room overlooked the pasture of 2 beautiful grazing horses. The apartment was clean, beautiful and peaceful.

We didn't really have any negative comments. Just a note that you might need a taxi or car to grab lunch or have dinner somewhere as they only have breakfast at the hotel.

Amazing atmosphere, it was exactly as we imagined it. We just wanted to give a special shout to Laurent, who was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We stayed in one of the attic rooms and it was very spacious and beautifully decorated.

The only thing I would say I didn't necessarily love, was the fact that the bedspread was the same and it had been on the floor but I guess thats not a big deal and fair.

My friend and I visited for a 2-night stay to celebrate her birthday and visit around. Laurent, the manager was an amazing host, on one of the nights we requested a fire, and although not sure if it was allowed he came through for us and even took some photos in front of the castle at his initiative. The room was super clean and the lady was coming on time and chaining everything. We're planning to visit again.

So much beauty in a perfect peaceful location to visits regional sites! Easy checkin and lovely spacious comfortable room. A modern lift is great although when staying in a chateau one must get use to stairs. Everything placed with purpose and lots of taxidermy. So much to discover. Simple but perfect breakfast fuels you for the day. The grounds are stunning - a beautiful painting.

Things such as glasses and a fridge in room would have been nice. The bed was quite hard and European pillows only available no standard pillows. The shared kitchen facilities were missing many items we had to ask for including tea bags and milk.

Room is definitely a bit dated although that might be expected of a chateau with some history. Our room had carpets and I think if they can replace them with modern wooden flooring, it would dramatically increase the comfort level and cleanliness of the room. And again electric outlets are an issue, charging your phone on the bedside table is the minimum as these days.

Very atmospheric chateau and room, and perfect place to sit around and enjoy the fairy tale surrounding. Also well-located a few minutes away from Amboise.

Outside pool was filthy. Brown water. Breakfast had to be pre booked daily and on the day we forgot, we were turned away. Not even offered a coffee.

Square continental-style pillows, rather fat, too big for a taller person. I had to use rolled-up clothes. No others were available upon request.

Lovely old building restored to a very high standard, even an elevator. Great rooms and simple continental breakfast is available. A few minutes by car or taxi from delightful Amboise. Only met one staff member who acted a a superhost, he was great.
