There was a slight mustiness to the apartment, even though it was spotlessly clean. It’s a stone building that is partially underground, which is probably why. I think they should invest in a dehumidifier.

The property is a lovely old chateau. It is a beautiful and peaceful place. We stayed in the two bedroom apartment in the old orangerie. The apartment was huge, with a complete kitchen, a kids room with three twin beds, two huge full baths with clawfoot tubs and separate showers and our own private entrance and parking. There was a private terrace where they brought us pastries for breakfast every morning. It was wonderful place for a family with children. Traveling around France, it was often hard for us to find places that would easily accommodate a family that was larger than 4. This place worked beautifully.

The property was beautifully and carefully interior designed. It was immaculately clean. Laurent was a wonderful host and very helpful and welcoming. The pool is particularly wonderful.

There is no restaurant to eat at in the evening. This is not a problem as you can buy bits and cook them at the outdoor kitchen or picnic in the grounds, however, this could be stated before you arrive.

The breakfast option is limited to continental, I would pay to have breakfast in the lovely "dinning space" if more than coffee, pastries and jams were offered.

Nothing to complain about really but there could be better light in the games room and a small bar might be good for the evenings. Shame the pianos were so out of tune!

Lovely location, decor was great - especially the salon area with the quirky stuffed animals! The pool area also very good. Even though the room was a standard double, it had both a bedroom and living area and a big bathroom. Very clean.

Just a minor thing, an evening bar would have been nice and maybe fridge and tea/coffee facilities in the rooms.

Excellent location and quiet elegance of what you would expect with a country chateau. The room was of enormous size with many windows and even a castle turret. The Breakfast each morning was excellent and was a perfect start to begin our days of touring historic Chateaus within the Loire Valley. The pool was excellent and even better for our picnic dinners in the evening. The pool even has a mini kitchen for the guests to make this an easy way to end a long day.

It was very intimate and you had access everywhere.

Amazing place. Really magical and they make you feel like home. We booked another castle stay after staying in Chateau Des Arpentis and we realised it was a mistake. Chateau des Arpentis was really magical.

There could perhaps have been a tea and coffee making facilitiy in the room. A morining swim before breakfast would have been good, but pool sometimes not open til after 11am

If you want evening meal it’s a 10 minute drive into Amboise. Hotel doesn’t do food beyond breakfast which is fair enough. Not a problem. One day we ate early then had a snack for dinner.

Ambience, Laurent who ran it to perfection and is simply a great host. Breakfast. Car Parking. Room (Rose). Swimming Pool. Grounds, drive up to Chateau. There’s a LeClerc petrol garage 100 metres from end of driveway. Clos Lucé in Amboise (Leonardo da Vinci) gorgeous.

Special place. You basically have the castle, including various rooms, to yourself with others. grounds are lovely.

They don’t provide coffee or tea in the room, there is no restaurant although you can cook your own food in the outside kitchen by the pool
