2 rooms are up a very small medieval staircase. It is impossible to get a large suitcase up these stairs. The view from the top room is incredible, however, yet the access is not suitable for anyone with a disability or who has difficulty with steep stairs. If this is an issue for you - ask for a room on the main floor.

This is is 16th building, beautifully furnished, in a great location. The tower room which has a spectacular view of Albi is reached by a very narrow circular stone staircase with only a rope to hold onto. We tried the stairs but felt it was not suitable for two seniors, so we changed to a beautiful room on the 2nd floor. However, there is not a mirror with enough light to put on make up. We needed to email the host to find out how to “ring the doorbell” when we arrived. We are from Canada and had not seen this system. The breakfast was lovely - delicious and elegant.

Perhaps because we are not European, we missed a little bit more protein at breakfast.

The rooms were absolutely beautiful and carefully curated to maintain the decor of the time. The bed was very comfortable (not a bed of the time period!) and we slept very well.

Exceptional home run by the owner who grew up in this home. Beautifully decorated and with huge spaces. Could not fault anything. Breakfast was delicious with other guests and owner was warm welcoming! Booked dinner for us in fantastic restaurant. Central position in beautiful Albi. Would have loved to stay longer!

EVERYTHING. Our host was amazing, kind, and we left feeling like friends. We want to visit Albi again just to stay in her beautiful mansion and enjoy breakfast with her again. The room is spacious, incredibly clean, with gorgeous rooftop views of Albi. We felt like royalty! This is the stay and vacation I will be talking about the rest of my life. I’m serious. If you are looking to stay in Albi, this is the best possible option in all of France. ❤️🇫🇷

Wow! We were just blown away from the moment we arrived. We had a big SUV and had trouble parking, Maely came down to meet us, helped unload our luggage, and road with us to find parking. She is an amazing host and her English is excellent. The tower room was incredible, and really put you back several hundred years, with a winding staircase and panoramic views from our windows. While the history of the building has been preserved, the furniture was beautiful and well appointed. The bathroom was modern. When the church bells rang the next morning. we felt we were living in a fairy tale. A delicious breakfast was served with fine china, just perfect. Maely is a gracious host and it is obvious that she enjoys what she is doing. We only spent one night but would love to have stayed longer.

Magical stay in one of the suits or rooms at this grandiose tower located in the heart of the Centre Ville and yet so private and quiet. The splendid decor, the beautifully arranged breakfast table with the delightful hostess transports you to a French movie from the 60s. A unique experience that is a pity to be missed when in Albi.
