The rooms downstairs hear the noise from the guests in the rooms upstairs very well. You can hear everyone walking and talking. But if they go to sleep early there is no problem.

Very relaxing place with very kind host, with good breakfast and diner. Very quiet at night.

We had a nice one night stay with the dinner and breakfast. The host is very friendly. The food was delicious and home cooked.

When we arrived the doors and windows were open. Consequently the room was full of flies and a swarm of moths. We had to spray the entire room with Cobra and retreat outside to wait for it to dissipate. The room itself was tired and is in desperate need of an overhaul.

The room had a very unpleasant, damp smell. We asked if we could have a different room but was told no. Walls and ceiling were covered in dead insects. The back wall had exposed areas of plaster where paint had come off. It was badly in need of painting. The shower could not be regulated..it was too hot.

We were extremely well received by the owners. They managed to host us for dinner despite a late notice on our side and even prepared something special for my vegetarian daughter. Very friendly, very comfortable and extremely charming location.

The rooms looked tired and old, not in a charming vintage way. Breakfast was too basic, just one piece of bread with jam and a croissant per person. The host came across as rude when we arrived at 21.00, it seems to be an inconvenience even though she lves at the site.

We knew what to expect from other reviews so no problems for us. The B&B was the original shabby chic but everything that mattered (beds, chairs etc ) were in perfect order

Lovely calm atmosphere. Comfortable beds. Home cooked food. Kind host. Beautiful setting including a fountain with hopping frogs. AND the limes were in blossom so it smelled wonderful too. .

Thé property is not well maintained and there is absolutely no feeling of being welcome. The breakfast is awful: cold and bad quality coffee, bread from the day before and everything is limited in quantity. one of the worst breakfast ever.

The room was shabby. Paint peeling at skirting level (only needed a lick of paint), cracked tiles in shower room. Room was not clean - cobwebs on window cills, dusty, basin not clean, filthy lavatory brush and dirty under the bed. if you used the QR code provided, the information section read like a boot camp. Asked to take bedspread off and fold carefully, not to be used. when we did take it off we found it stained on the underside (wouldn’t want to sleep under it anyway). To be careful when pulling curtains and to wash your hands before doing so. Not to stand on the bath mat with shoes on! Outside the courtyard could have been lovely but area needed attention, i.e. a quick weed. Chipped mugs. Breakfast too late at 8.30 if you want a quick getaway. very poor selection. Lastly, and very importantly, the WIFI DOES NOT WORK, even though Booking.Com says it’s available. I have never written such a lengthy and critical review before but I think it is such a shame that owners are letting themselves down as the property is lovely and has so much potential.

That there aren't more quiet places like this.

Quiet setting off the main roads with a lake opposite. Delicious dinner prepared by host who was prepared to vary the menu to accommodate a vegetarian and served excellent French dishes made from local ingredients. There's also a courtyard with chairs and tables where you can sit and eat your own food if you don't want to go for the dinner. The rooms are private and very comfortable.

The location so close to the motorway and beside a lake, lots of space for the dog to run around. The rooms are very spacious. Really nice breakfast and the evening meal is the best. The hostess is charming.

Superb quiet location with great onsite parking. Prepared a special Vegetarian meal for us. Tea and coffee in the room. Great outdoor seating for each room. Brilliantly quirky Chateau, we just loved it.

Not worth what I paid. Owner lacks flexibility in particular timewise. Room and bathroom could do with some cleaning and painting. I paid 101 EUR for the room. It is certainly not worth that much.

Lovely restored property close to a small lake that you can walk round. Rooms are comfortable, nice dinner and breakfast prepared by host who was very friendly. Car parking on site.

owner taking too much on her own hence the room was fly infested and rather dirty. The property is being run like a institute of correction with notices and rules posted all over the place, The hospitality business should not attempt to be so controlling,some of the advices could almost be seen as rather insulting I.e. “ make sure your hands are clean before drawing the curtains!” A great shame as with a little thought this could be an absolute diamond and I. can understand that she may have had some bad experiences in the past but perhaps unwise to let them influence the way she runs the establishment today.

mould and plaster falling off walls , damp smell and bed felt damp too. whole place was tired and unkempt looking. Nothing like the photos on the website, the rules and regulations sent in the email prior to arrival came across as rude. Then the info on check in with more rules was excessive.
