Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaFamily rooms do not have ocean views.
location, right on beach. Right across the road is a walking/ bike track right into Le lavandou and beyond. Good meals at hotel. Plenty of parking at hotel or in public parking right adjacent hotel. Le Lavandou has more meal/dining options, but is more crowded and more exposed to wind. At Cavaliere it is more sheltered, ocean calmer.

United KingdomCould do with a little renovation. There was no ventilation in the bathroom and it felt quite dump/humid in the room. Would have preferred a room upstairs rather than close to the indoor swimming pool.
The Director and the staff were super friendly. The location of the hotel is amazing. Directly onto the beach with view of sea. The rooms were quite spacious.

United KingdomOne of the wardrobe doors was missing and the rubber seal also missing on the shower screen, which made showering awkward as water seaped onto the floor. Areas of the hotel need renovation, to be fair while we were there maintenance was ongoing, to a water leak in the ceiling of the pool area. This area was very dark and tired looking, could do with sprucing up, cleaning the floor and adding some colour to the decor would help. Also the bar outside would benefit from a revamp. Just a few changes would make this a good 3 star property.
We had room 203 which had a wonderful sea view and we leaving the balcony doors open, went to sleep listening to the sea. It was the end room on the 2nd floor so had a good sized balcony and side view too. The balcony was comfortable in the afternoon as shaded from the sun, still very warm but also handy as being on the end you benefited from any breeze. Table and two chairs on the balcony were useful. The room was cleaned well and ladies on reception were helpful. There was a good selection of food for breakfast and it was nice to be able to eat outside as well as inside, if you wanted. Although we never used it the indoor pool would be a bonus for some, especially those with children. The availability to hire sunbeds and parasol. ( although we were told you had to order them a day in advance) Having a car park was handy, although it only had 23 spaces. If it was full you had to park opposite in a general car park. Which was fine as it was free. I think the only time this couldn't be used was on Monday market day.

United KingdomA fridge and kettle in the room would make this perfect. Bed had a dip in the middle, but apart from that was not uncomfortable. Used A/C one night as mosquitoes and in the morning water all over the floor, but housekeeping cleared it up. Beach beds and umbrellas not up during our stay, early May, as weather too unpredictable. Nothing really not to like!
This is a three star hotel with a five star location, as another reviewer has said. However, the seaview double room we had was of a better quality than some of the photos on the website, so we think they must have renovated some fairly recently. Room was large with a sofa bed, decent sized bathroom, separate WC and ample wardrobe space, TV.. Balcony had nice wrought iron table and 2 chairs. View was gorgeous and sounds of the waves wonderful. Sea is calm, waters clean. Gorgeous beach. Did not use the indoor pool but the kids seemed to enjoy it. Breakfast plentiful and good (fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, croissants, eggs etc). Ate one evening in the restaurant for fixed price of €25 for 3 courses, it was good and above average standard for hotel food. Wine reasonably priced in comparison with other local beach restaurants. On site parking very useful and easy to use. Staff friendly and good.

SwitzerlandHotel building is old, but that was ok too, given the good value for money.
Great beach. We went during Easter. Saint-Tropez was a 45 minute drive. Great location to relax as there are less crowds unlike Saint-Tropez. Kids loved the heated swimming pool. The hotel has their own car park which is free. Lots of free parking also available on the opposite side of the road, if the hotel car park is full. Was great value for money for the price we paid. Breakfast was good. Good/Reasonably priced restaurants also available close by.

United KingdomThe hotel is old and in need of total refurbishment and modernisation. It is overpriced for the level of accommodation it provides. The "double" bed was in fact two single beds joined together with a gap in the middle. There was also a surplus single bed in the room which took up space which could have been used for comfortable chairs. The breakfast was only adequate.
Beach location. But the hotel is sighted next to a dried up water course with pools of stagnant water where mosquitos flourish. Be sure to take mosquito protection if you plan to stay here.
