Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThe shower did not drain well. I used it with minimal pressure to avoid being in a pool of water. My wife turned the shower off every so often.
Location, price, hotel employees were very pleasant and knowledgeable. Very convenient location and with a convenience store open late across the street. I would stay again for same price

United StatesThe reception service was not so good, maybe to me only. Besides the fact that I had to pay 14 € every morning for a breakfast, I did not enjoy it because I did not have enough choices to enjoy. That's why I only had breakfast the first morning of my stay. The bathroom was a nightmare, so, small, so narrow that I couldn't even turn around to get my fallen soap.
I liked the quietness, the privacy and the location.

MexicoI received a message at 2 pm saying I have to leave the facilities to be relocated, I wasn't close to the hotel and when I replied the booking staff took 20 hours for a reply.
The location, the staff was nice specially the one in charge of reception at night.

NepalThe shower area is very small. No outlet for water ending up outside the shower area. So I had a little pool of water which was taken care of by the room service staff. But still drainage outlet would have been nice.
The location is quiet and has good access to the metro. Very centrally located. The rooms and bathrooms are small but it is the same as most hotels in Paris for the price range.

CanadaNeeds some upgrades. Perhaps better window for noise although I stayed from Saturday to Sunday so not much traffic. Bathroom quite a sardine can. But overall ok stay.
Location. Very close to the Eiffel Tower. And other attractions if you don’t mind walking a bit. Only one night there so I can mostly speak on the tower. Kinda an outdated hotel. Needs some upgrades urgently. Overall was ok. Clean. Staff attentive. Small room and bathroom.

United KingdomThe room and bathroom were clean but the whole decor was dated and tired. Holes in the walls where hooks used to be, lampshades stained, shower was old and so small the shower curtain got in the way!
Location was excellent, quiet residential road and easy to get to two Metro stations. Beds were comfortable, always had hot water and good to have tea / coffee facilities in the room.

CanadaLocation is very near the Eiffel tower. I visited this hotel in the middle of a heat wave, it’s worth noting the hotel does not have air conditioning, which means the rooms are extremely hot. My room also did not have a fridge or microwave. This may be fine depending on the nature of your stay, as it was for my stay, just something to be aware of. Good value for your money if you just want somewhere close to the Eiffel Tower that is reasonably priced.
