Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing to dislike, save typical French lumpy square pillows!
It is in a quiet location south of the City - convenient to get onto the Paris MW north. Nice garden for the dog to stretch her legs and dog friendly. Staff were all lovely and went the extra mile. If you want the centre, very convenient for the tram stop. Evening meal was fair. Decent parking. Rooms not fancy but perfectly OK

FranceThe buffet breakfast was worth its money and kind of OK overall but nothing too exciting. Kyriad is probably the only cheap hotel chain in France where breakfast is even worth trying. Some of them provide a really good buffet breakfast, others are just OK. This one is rather "just OK" though I don't regret taking it. Booking.com filter matched this hotel as having 24h reception, which is technically correct but you need to book your arrival time in advance, if you come late. This is stated in the booking confirmation and time differs between weekend and week days. They have a security guy during the night who can let you in for a pre-arranged check-in but reception is closed and there is no self check-in machine.
It's okay for an overnight stay on the drive north-south or probably even for a city visit. Location is a good compromise between accessibility by car, not so far from the main highways, free parking available, and, on the other hand, it's not so far from the Tour downtown. A modern train nearby will take you to the center of Tour in around 20 minutes. You can buy tickets at the machine at the stop, quick and easy, 1.9€ single one way ticket. The hotel itself is clean, the room was large enough, no noise. Staff was very friendly and helpful. In principle, you can stay there for a city tour if you don't mind taking the tram. Location is a bit far for a walk from the downtown and not the most fancy route. Uber at night to get back from the downtown costs around 17€.

United KingdomWe booked this hotel as it has a swimming pool that we planned to use. However, we discovered the the pool was closed temporarily. Very disappointing but compensated with free breakfast, which we appreciated.
The hotel offers clean and tidy budget accommodation. It was further out of town than we expected but conveniently located for the tram. Staff friendly and helpful. The location is quiet and the car parking good. Well located for an overnight visit to Tours without having to drive in and out of the central city. Large shopping / restaurant complex about 500m from the hotel.

United KingdomAs this is a dog friendly hotel, one of the guests has a very anxious dog staying on the same floor as me and was constantly barking whenever a guest enters or leaves the room even at night. I would have rated either 9 or 10 but because of this dog it has been downgraded to 7.
bed was comfortable, breakfast was lovely and staff were extremely helpful. Amazing customer service. Plenty of spaces to park at hotel and short walking distance to Joué-Lès-Tours foodhall with great selection of restaurants

United KingdomSomewhat disappointed when we arrived here. The hotel is so tired in appearance. Paid extra for a superior room but really not sure what we gained. Possibly a larger room but one paper cup & one tea bag between two! No milk. Lady on reception kindly gave us milk. There was a swimming pool but no loungers. The outside seating was filthy & the only two potential armchairs had cigarette ash on them.
Location good

United KingdomThe hotel and rooms are in need of updating. The restaurant wasn’t open when we arrived at 7:30pm (but there are plenty of restaurants close by). The dumping of an old mattress near the pavement at the front of the hotel was rather off putting!
Clean room and the hotel is conveniently located for nearby restaurants.
