Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThat I had to leave. Avoriaz is a beautiful place.
Staff were attentive, friendly, informative. Buffet breakfast and dinner were brilliant and staff working the kitchen and front of house were on point.

IsraelNo real "Spa area". Just a disappointing wet and dry sauna. Would have at least expected a hot tub for this caliber of hotel. Made it so we had to walk 10 minutes to get to nearby hotels with spa (that we had to pay for of course). Pretty far away from city center (5-10 min walk). Food is pretty mediocre, but gets the job done. They ran out of a lot of types of alcohol during our stay. There was no Aperol for the 2nd half of the trip. The bartenders were of wildly different skill levels. Some were good, but some were just teens who never made a drink.
The selection of food was pretty nice although it could be more varied. Ski rooms were pretty okay. All you can drink/eat definitely saved us a lot of money even though the quality of food might not have been restaurant level.

United KingdomNothing really! Pillow was a bit hard - but that’s subjective and if I had to fault something!
Excellent location, excellent meals - good variety and very yummy - so much lovely cheese and meats too, inclusive waffles and crepes at 4pm, cocktails, wine on tap, excellent ski store, excellent room with view!

United KingdomWe found our room a bit dingy and basic, we had a twin room with an adjoining door and could hear the neighbour through the wall. The restaurant at breakfast and dinner was a bit hectic at times and appeared to need more staff to stay on top of getting clean plates and cutlery out.
Belambra is in a good location, close to the main piste and right next to a ski hire shop. Belambra caters really well for a couples ski holiday. The indoor and outside bars were great for an aperol spritz and a crepe after a day of skiing and we enjoyed going for fondue one night in the separate restaurant. The staff were really friendly.

United KingdomThe fact the rooms weren’t cleaned every day and we ran out of loo paper! The rooms were very small. The hotel was incredibly busy. Not too many children but we did avoid school holidays.
The location was great, we liked the all inclusive aspect. The buffet was very good with lots of choice .

United KingdomSmall inconveniences: The bedding (bottom sheet too small) and lunchtime refreshments being cleared away quickly were minor annoyances. Navigating stairs in ski boots could be challenging for some. Checkout confusion: Not having proper luggage assistance and receiving unnecessary reminders about paid taxes created unnecessary hassle. Lively nights: The bar can get noisy late evenings, which might be disruptive for light sleepers.
Pros: Great value: All-inclusive option with delicious meals, including lunches on the sunny terrace and a cheesy fondue/raclette night, made the trip affordable and stress-free. Convenient location: Ski-in ski-out access saved time and energy, while the warm boot room kept equipment dry and comfy. Family-friendly: Activities and entertainment are available for all ages, making it a perfect choice for families or groups.

United KingdomThe negative for improvement was making everyone queue often quite a while to get into the restaurant - seems an inefficient system. Also the bedroom was so narrow that you often bumped into the TV as there was such little space. We asked where to get ski passes at reception on arrival and were told to get them in the town when there was a machine a few feet away not mentioned which we found rather odd and that is where we purchased them.
Food was good. Beds comfortable, shower good. Access to ski/boot room good and location to ski lifts etc. all good.

United KingdomOnly thing id recommend if you are a tea drinker is to take some tea bags with you as they mainly run out of English breakfast. We also ended up buying our own loo roll as this didnt get topped up, neither did we have any dispensing soap in our dispenser and no soap for washing hands so we brought ourselves. Not a problem though as pennies. Also with regards to medicine (nothing to do with the hotel) - id recommend taking some "first defence spray / throat spray" with you as the pharmacy doesnt have anything like this for cold / flu treatment, they charge you 25 euros for something that doesnt work whatsoever, they also dont have any vicks rub so recommend you take something with you as the air is very dry and we all ended up ill (not been ill for 2 years with a cold, since using a first defence spray....wont forget again!)
Belambra club, is an excellent hotel. For a 3 star hotel we were very impressed, the only thing i felt missing was a bath, which is a personal thing, as its nice to soak the tired skiing legs in a bath at the end of the day. That was all. Our room had everything we needed (apart from soap & topped up loo roll), and with the ski hire within the hotel this was very handy. The all inclusive menu / buffet was really good and the bar we only had lunch one day at the hotel as we wanted to sample the food everywhere else on the resort. One day we decided to stay at the hotel as we were all knackered and they had fondue in the bar....what more could you want! Cocktails included too....very happy :-) ensure you take plenty of euro coins for the pool room. We will definitely book again if we can find a room that has a bath ;-)

United KingdomOne particular receptionist was very rude. Ski lockers are very small, you get one rail that just about fits 2 pairs of skis. We had to keep one snowboard in the room.
Central location but away from the noise. Great facilities and entertainment at the hotel. Our 3-year-old enjoyed the kids club. The food was nice but limited variety. Evening music and quizzes were fun for both kids and adults. Bar served nice cocktails and terrace snacks were great after a day of skiing.

United KingdomAlthough the food was good some of it felt like ‘catering packs’ especially the mushy veg. Presumably because it’s for mass catering. The breakfast cereal was basic quality and bland and the scrambled egg was always cold.
The view from the bedroom over the resort and beyond was superb. Excellent shower cubicle and cleaning service. The evening entertainment was good and varied.

United KingdomRoad clearing meant getting onto the pistes was a bit more difficult later in the week. We returned for lunch some days, so our room missed being cleaned many days. Few times, the loud music on the terrace unnecessary, had to retreat to the bar. More signs/notice about the bar Kahoot quizzes, which would have been fun and work really well with an international audience - we missed the first few, and our French isn't good enough to join in the verbal quizzes.
This is a really good family hotel, with well laid-out family rooms (twin+double). Relaxed all inclusive style, meant we could have meals when we wanted, snacks on the terrace at 4, and drinks in the bar. They serve e.g., hot chocolates and orangina as well as on-tap beer and wine. Nice restaurant with views, great buffet food for the family, just need to be disciplined to put together a good meal. Steam room was nice, pool table fun, enjoyed quizzes and games in the bar area, and waffles on the terrace. Staff were all very helpful, fast and friendly service.
