Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Cedric was the best thing about this hotel. He runs the show, the bar. the breakfast, he is so attentive and friendly and nothing is too much work for him, he will exceed any expectations re hospitality. The nicest man and could not be more helpful and friendly, we would definitely come back because of him.

SwedenThe hotel will soon be needing some renovation. At least the room we had, and some common areas. It is clean and functioning but of quite old standard and a bit worn down. (You could also call it charming and retro. :)) Beds are a bit on the harder side but OK. Some parts had already newer standard, like the sauna.
A small family-run hotel in a good location. Very good breakfast. Conveniently sized room for two persons. Good ski room. What stands out is the excellent staff - you have to be impressed with Cedric that was always present, positive and ready to help out.

United KingdomTo be honest nothing. There wasn’t a thing we could fault. Such a fabulous experience.
Cedric the property manager was fabulous, whatever we needed, which wasn’t a lot he was able to help. He was always around & always with a big smile and cheery demeanour. Breakfast exceeded our expectations, European breakfasts tend to be continental, no hot options but Cedric had everything covered.

United KingdomIt would have been nice to have a couple of chairs on the balcony, but I am sure if I would have asked they would have sorted that for us as nothing was too much trouble.
We absolutely loved the atmosphere, the staff were wonderful and made us feel so welcome. The hotel was spotless and the rooms super comfy, the house keepers came every day and the breakfast was outstanding. The location is perfect. We loved everything about it. Thankyou

United KingdomGenuinely struggling to find anything that we didn’t like.
Hotel was a great location. 7 mins walk with kids to Plenney, 3 minutes to Super Morzine TC to take you towards Avoriaz. Located close to bus stop to take you in Les Gets and where the Geneva coach dropped us off. Hotel was great, owner and staff were brilliant and so helpful as well as fab with the kids. Had a TV room with Pool table and table football with Pingpong. Plenty of wonderful breakfast options hot and cold in the morning to suit all tastes. Just what you want to get you going in the morning.

United KingdomAmazing hotel, we absolutely loved the Bel’alpe. Francoise and Cedric were fantastic hosts and we were given a free room upgrade without asking, they really couldn’t have done more for us throughout our stay. The breakfast selection is excellent, the lounge areas are warm and comfortable and the location is perfect between the Pleney and Super Morzine lifts and close to great bars and restaurants. Would 100% recommend.

BrazilIt was all very good. But it would be really cool if it had a pool.
The breakfast was wonderful. The food is very good, and the tables are marked with names. François is very attentive and polite. The room is large, but the bunk bed space is a little tight, but it's ok. The bathroom is a little small, but that's ok. The beds are comfortable. Not too hard, not too soft. The hotel is very well located. It is close to Pleney and Super Morzine. It is close to restaurants and supermarkets. The hotel has a ping pong table, board games, pool table, sauna and ski storage area.

United KingdomThere was nothing I didn't like to be honest but if I had to really think hard of anything only very small details like another bin in the room for rubbish from the drinks making facilities (Only one in bathroom) but to be fair that's just me being to lazy to walk 5ft.
The breakfast at the Hotel was vast. From cooked breakfast to cereals, bread, fruit, hot and cold drinks. It had everything and all fresh. It set us up for a good day skiing. The service and help from the staff especially Cedrick was first class as well. The hotel rooms had everything you would need and even had dressing gowns and slippers. Very comfortable bed, Great powerful shower. The Hotel also has a ski room so you could leave yours boots etc in and let them dry overnight. It also had a pool room, sauna, table tennis, table football, social area and a great bar! The decor was stunning and very cosy. Located in a quiet area so had a good sleep and brilliant location. 5 mins walk from the town, both lifts to Morzine and Avoriaz. Good parking. Very family friendly.
