Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was clean. Still or sparkling water was provided free. Coffee machine in the dining area was available all day.

The staff were so helpful when we arrived with directions and recommendations. We stayed here to run the Paris half marathon and the location was perfect. There were nice extra touches like unlimited use of the coffee machine and refillable bottle area.

The room was small but clean and not to noisy. In general it is a nice place for a short stay. The hotel is situated in the nice area with restaurants, not far from the subway (10 min approximately).

SpainCompared to the other ibis hotels we've stayed at (in Belgium), the room (carpet and furniture) of this hotel was a bit older and run down. The room and bathroom smelled a bit dusty, not quite fresh but not bad either. There was only space for a small suitcase next to the bed. We had to put our big suitcase under the desk and walk around it. Which was fine, but good to paint a picture!
ibis hotels are my go-to option for whenever I want to stay on a great location during citytrips and still keep it affordable. Trustworthy, great staff, wifi always works. This ibis hotel was in a really nice neighbourhood of Paris, one I had never been to before (this was my 5th visit). Lots of restaurants, cafés and nice shops around. Not to mention lots of bus stations and a metro stop within a 5 min walk. And they even had a terrace garden, quite lovely.

Great location and very friendly reception. Also huge plus for "non-plastic" initiative inside the hotel. The mattress was very good and it was quiite in the property so the sleep was very good. Also you can always get a fresh water on the reception.

The receptionist when we arrived was very welcoming, he told us there is a free fountain in the reception and helped us find places to have dinner. The bed is comfortable. Overall a common ibis hotel, good.
