I was welcomed by the owners as a guest and friend. It was an honor to theme play as king and queen in this crazy looking house: decor is 100% medieval. The food was first rate, the view from the restaurant spectacular.

A quirky place beyond the usual to stay and rest on your trip in the Pyrenees with a fantastic view of the exceptional landscape and the eagles rooming the mountains. A very personal place where you find yourself in good company of the host family. Hope to get the chance to get back

This accommodation has the most spectacular views, our room was amazing and looked out to the breathtaking views.Very friendly hosts, that provided a wonderful breakfast and most delicious evening 3 course meal with wine. The accommodation is decorated with attention to detail, great experience and quaint little village in a Greta location. We very much enjoyed our two night stay

Superb view over the valley. Very clean room with all necessary amenities. The couple running the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. We booked at very short notice (less than an hour before arrival) and were still received with great friendliness and with a pleasant personal touch.

The location was STUNNING!!! And the hosts are such lovely people - Julie and Javier create a wonderful environment to relax and explore in and opportunities and I loved the communal breakfasts and dinner.

It is a bit dark in the bathroom.

The place is just amazing…and if I ever decide to hike in that area again, I will stay at the Toison d’Or: The auberge is a medieval castle reconstructed in so many details.

The proprietors were attentive and helpful. The Inn is decorated in a medieval motif, relatively authentically. It was a unique experience. We had dinner there twice, the first was good, the second (lamb) was excellent.

I liked everything!

I love the quality of this place. Real love and attention has been paid to everything. The owners are such great people. Our breakfast - superb, by the way, started at 8:30 and lasted until 10:30. Even the American guests were a joy to talk to. This is my second visit, and the first for my wife, and she lived it too.

Breakfast was basic (continental). There was little alternative when it comes to going somewhere else nearby for dinner.

Amazing views. We had a bit of view even though we did not book a valley view room. The village is very clean and well looked after. I liked the dinner there, food was amazing. Good conversation with strangers all sitting at the one big table. Nice small family hotel.

It is very dark and medieval! Great if you are a fan of this type of thing. The bedding was very heavy, with no way of regulating the temperature, which was bit of an issue (comfy mattress though).

The setting, overlooking the mountains, is stunning. A very friendly, personal welcome from Julie. We were the only ones there, at the end of the season, so it was hard to get a real feel for the place. Breakfast and our evening meal were very acceptable. A perfect place to stay if you want to explore this beautiful area of the Pyrenees - we did a fabulous hike up to a mountain lake and drove across the pass into Spain.

The radiator in our room gurgled and was quite disruptive for sleeping. The water flow in the shower head in the bathroom was patchy. Also some of the water from the shower tray escaped onto the floor behind the toilet.

The panoramic view of the Pyrenees was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and the room was totally different to anywhere else we have stayed. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The soup as a starter for dinner was delightful but I would have liked vegetables other than potatoes with the main course (no choices). The dessert was wonderful, a lemon meringue tart.
