No elevator but the staff gladly carried our luggage up and down the narrow stairways.

There was no Reception and keys to the room were left in a box next to the entrance door which was not obvious until some other guests pointed it out. There was no interaction with any staff member as there was no-one there other than at breakfast time.

The kettle lead didn't reach the plug without moving it.

Wonderful location and excellent breakfast. Given the age of the building the designs of the rooms is very clever. The air conditioning was excellent.

A great place to stay in the most adorable of villages in Alsace. In front is a much photographed tiny building and you are inside the ramparts of the little village near the center of activity. The lovely chapel and fountain are very near and just beautiful. Loved every moment of our stay here. Very good restaurant downstairs. The rooms are upstairs and ours was a comfortable size with a large bath and lovey geraniums out the window on the little balcony. Great value and parking is not far away and you can drive to the hotel to drop off and pick up luggage.

There is nothing really to say here, but as points for being even better: a standing shower is missing so you have to sit in the bathtube which is not very comfortable. A small fridge in the room would be great.

Hotel also has a restaurant with great food (I would say traditional french cusine) and wine. Employees are very friendly. Great location: short walk to a public parking lot; at the beginning of the charming wood frame house - old town with loads of restaurants and wine cellars

We were housed on the top floor and the stairs getting to our room were steep, but staff helped us transport our bags up when we got there, and down when we checked out.

Charming inn with very helpful staff ... Madam SOGG and staff were exceptional to work with and helped make our stay there very nice. The dining options were very good as was the location for accessing the village.

Breakfast not included, very very steep stairs to the rooms, it was hard to manage luggage. Difficulty checking in, no one on site in the afternoon at the designated check in time. No instructions where to park the vehicle- drive several blocks, park in town lot, must move the car or renew the park fee by 9,00am.

Great Auberge, we enjoyed our time there. Very nice room (we had the one with the SPA bath), nice people, great location. Nice old traditional furniture. Good breakfast.

I was surprised to find small single "portions" of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel wrapped in plastic and plastic cups when most hotels today are careful about plastic waste and use large dispensers. Perhaps this is a change the Auberge could consider?

Eguisheim is a particularly beautiful Alsatian town and not quite as overrun as Ribeauvillé etc. The Auberge de Rempart had good rooms for a reasonable price, the mattresses were good and the shower excellent. We were very happy with our stay.

w We felt as if we were family guests and our host as hostess took time to talk to us and share a parting coffee by the lovely fountain courtyard. The room was amazing!!!! it could not have been more perfectly located ; you open your window onto the tiny cobbler streets and infront of one of the most picturesque parts of the pretty town . the resteraunt was excellent and the food for our breakfast of excepionally high quality ; locally baked bread local quality cheeses and chacuterie.A delighful healthy generous start to the day. thank you to the owners

Reception and greeting could have been better. Also, shower soap/shampoo was 4 small "bags" - for 2 persons for 3 days! And there were no-refill of these (which you needed 1-2 for a simple shower). Could have used a small fridge in the room as well. Paid breakfast (12€ /person) was not worth the money in our opinion. Better visit the bakery instead.

Nice clean and newly refurbished room. WiFi was okay.
