They offer a dinner plate of the day. I had it one of my two evenings. Unfortunately, the dish I had was undercooked with raw egg.

The staff was really friendly and Glu, the hostel cat was obviously a huge bonus point. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really rich and tasty.

No power outlets by the bed, and the building is a little old (the bathroom facilities had a stuffy smell) but for the price it's okay

The staff was incredibly nice. Also, I liked that breakfast was included in the price (it's only sweet breakfast though, some rolls and croissants with butter, jam and other spreads, fruit and coffee - so no cheese or anything) and the view from the dining area is great! There's a bike rental station in front of the hostel, so getting into the city centre of LA Rochelle is easy (you could also take the bus or walk 30 mins)

There was no soap provided in the bathroom. The hostel is a fair distance from the station, and some sections of the way are not very well-lit. I had to leave very early to catch the first train and went on foot, due to a lack of transport options. In certain dark places on the walk I didn't feel very safe (I was followed for a while by a drunk guy). Of course, this is not the fault of the hostel but something for solo (esp. female) travellers to be aware of!

I loved the sustainability measures - being able to buy a discounted left-over meal from the previous day to prevent food waste was a wonderful idea! The reminders to think about energy and water use were subtle but effective. I arrived for breakfast after 9 on my first morning, by which time a lot of the food had gone, which was a bit disappointing. However, I learnt my lesson and went earlier the next day and had a lot more to choose from. The food at breakfast, and that I bought from the bar in the evening, was all delicious and good value. There was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating, for example when I asked to change to a single room and when I asked for travel advice. There is a bike-share stand just outside the entrance that makes travel into town very accessible and fun!

"Getting there" instructions very poor. Just said Bus 1b from Airport. If I hadnt been overheard by a very kind lady I would not have known that I had to CHANGE buses in town, and take a different bus to hostel area, then I would have ended up very lost. No facilities for self catering at Hostel, and no shops nearby, so forced to buy food/drink from Hostel at bar prices.

No plug sockets at individual beds in dorm rooms. Very important for people travelling with electronics! My room mate snored 😅

No kitchen, no towels, no soap. There is a toilet in the shared rooms and one sink that is in the room with the shower.

The location is nice with a pretty view of the port but a bit far from the city center, about 20 minutes walking and there were no night buses pas 1am which made going out for a bar and coming back at night a bit scary.

The bedroom was big, we got a private suit, however the mattress and pillow were not comfortable. The WC and shower (all in one space) were inside our bedroom which means we did not have to share it with other guests but the sink was clogged, the shower space is very small and given the plastic curtains it's impossible to not get the entire WC wet while showering. Breakfast was great, simple yet all home made, we appreciated it.

Wasn't told about underground parking and was apprehensive about my car. The bathroom door squeak,,s, the shower wall had black mould between the tiles..

Breakfast was quite basic with little choice. The bathroom was on the small side.

Location was a short walk from the beach and selection of shops and restaurants. The room was clean and spacious. Friendly staff. Bar offered a good choice of drinks at reasonable prices.

Difficult to climb up narrow wooden rail/ steps on the bunk bed .

Breakfast was very good thank you . Convenient place to lock my rented bicycle. Staff were very helpful and friendly. My roommates were very friendly too. Great cycle ride from La Rochelle along the seaside to the hostel at Minimes. I recommend. I hope to visit again to go sailing. I enjoyed the music by the old port. I will not forget! Lol

What an amazing place for a hostel....the experience I had was perfect 👍 The staff....the bar, location just brilliant 👌 I'd definitely stay here again and one of the best hostels I've ever stayed in!

Check in/out easy but I think it's shocking to charge £2 if you arrive early to put your baggage in the locker room. Bathroom was like being in a tin can, very strange and not great for those with claustophobia. Shame to not have any plugs by the beds.

Food and drink price from the bar/restau is really good value for money. Best part was the view from the terrace bar which makes a stunning view for sunsets. Breakfast is what you expect from a budget hostel and likewise with the rooms so no complaints there. Good location too.

The breakfast was not balanced. No eggs, cheese, nothing green or fresh. Just processed stuff and sugar. It costs probably the same money to change to a better one.

You can have dinner with 10euro +1 for dessert, which was decent.
