The room was a bit small to accommodate our two large suitcases, a luggage rack would have been welcomed. The bath linens are line dried, so not soft and fluffy, but certainly more environmentally friendly!

The detail and attention given to the decor was exemplary. The accommodations were comfy, with a large modern bathroom. And a tasty breakfast was delivered to our room. We were only a short walk in to town so very convenient for dining and local sight-seeing.

Located within east walking distance of town centre, château, etc. Private parking in gated courtyard, and accommodations that were super quiet and peaceful, facing onto the garden and terrace. Comfy bed. Host really friendly and helpful.

A distance from the town up a hill in a residential area which meant popping out for dinner was not possible. We learned when we arrived that a meal could have been pre-arranged but we didn’t realise which was a shame.

Quiet. very friendly host. Tea and coffee facilities which is very unusual in French hotels but almost always provided in Britain. private parking. Clean. Comfortable. Nice breakfast with some homemade products.

Only my planning - two days would be better than just the one we had. The chateau is an absolute must, fabulous history and impeccable grounds and gardens, with a view of the whole town. The street-side restaurants and bars are varied and welcoming; the few we visited were very good indeed.

Amboise is a wonderful town in the Loire Valley and is well worth a visit. "Au fil du temps" has two separate self-contained en-suite rooms adjacent to the house where the hosts live. The very friendly English-speaking couple made us feel very welcome and produced an excellent breakfast, eaten al fresco; fruit, yoghurt, warm freshly baked bread, tea/coffee, cake. The property has car parking for 2 vehicles, inside a secure gate, one set of outdoor stairs then leads to the house and let-rooms. Everything was clean and fresh, the conviviality excellent. It is a 20 minute walk into town.

A lovely, quiet chambre d'hote in easy reach of the town center. Wonderful hosts who accomodated us at the last minute, gave excellent advice on the town and offered a delicious homemade breakfast in the morning. Would absolutely recommend, especially to those interested in learning about the history of this beautiful region.

The only small reservation was because it was located on a sometimes busy street, it was a bit tricky backing out of the parking space.

It had the best breakfast we’ve ever had in France, almost entirely home-made. The host was welcoming and the room was charming and comfortable. It was also a very reasonable walk to the restaurants in the centre of town, and the Loire.

The shows ran out of water very very fast There was no where to put our clothes, that had to stay in the suitcase on the floor The floor was gelid The heaters read 19* but it was way hotter than that when we adjusted them to a 1* lower it was very cold later on

This place is a shed that was built on owner's property, it is the width of a bed and 2 end tables thus was quite small and not much space to move around. Towels were hard and stiff, I know clothing dryers aren't often used in Europe but this was not a problem anywhere else we stayed. Not close enough to town to walk town. Tile floor is very cold and heat doesn't work quickly enough.

Friendly host, great private parking in on site garage, room very clean, homemade breakfast light but good. Water pressure in shower and hot water was great.
