Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThere was no PowerPoint next to the bed for charging phones. Also no where to really open suitcase.
We needed a hotel close to the train station and Hotel Flanelles is literally across the street so perfect. The bathroom was cleverly appointed with great water pressure and very comfortable bed. The surrounding area was also surprisingly lovely.

United KingdomThe room was a little small and you couldn’t really open the en suite door properly. The bed in the room was clean, but there was some open sugar in the draw and the wardrobe and bathroom tiles were grubby.
Really close to the station, quite nicely done

United StatesThe old fashioned elevator that fit only 2 persons made me a bit nervous. The tiny room 401 was a bit tiny but OK for one night. The "bacon" on the breakfast plate was like Canadian bacon and cold and not crisp. Omelette was OK.
The location directly across from Gare du Nord was ideal. We took the train to the airport for our early afternoon flight. Convenience of breakfast in downstairs cafe.

What a perfect cool little boutique hotel with attentive staff. A lovely laid back atmosphere with a gorgeous restaurant where you can take breakfast, cocktails with fresh juices and great coffee. It’s actually one of the quietest rooms I’ve stayed in - you literally can’t hear a sound and yet you can see the guard du nor. So nice to be able to just walk there when you leave, no stress.

United StatesSheets were a little itchy but it might have been from keeping my windows open and mosquitos coming in the room I’m not sure.
Love the view from my balcony, very kind staff, lovely bathrooms and separate toilet area and amazing shower experience with lovely soap & ahamooo and conditioner. Enjoyed my stay very much

United KingdomIt is a little noisy in the rooms due to the noise from the street outside but it didn’t keep me awake.
We had an early journey the next morning from Gare du Nord and the location was perfect as it was right next to the station. The hotel is decorated really nicely, staff extremely friendly and bed very comfy!

FinlandNo fridge in the room. Not the greatest option for kids because of the transparent shower wall. We booked 2 twin beds room but we got one large bed.
Location is just couple of minutes away from the train station Gare de Nord. Hotel is clean and calm. Staff are very friendly

United KingdomThe bathroom has limited privacy due to only part of the door being frosted so you really have to be comfortable/feel safe with the person you may be sharing the room with.
The hotel location is a few minutes walk from the station and if you exit the station where the Pierre Herme (macaron) kiosk is - it is a one minute outside the station. The hotel is understated on the outside but a beautiful once you step inside. The rooms are clean, with adequate space and really clean. There is lift access as well as a beautiful staircase. The hotel staff before my arrival maintained good contact and was very helpful in responding to questions about the hotel and travel options around Paris. I will definitely return to stay there and have recommended it to friends.

CanadaThe location of this hotel is very convenient for train travelers. Walking from the training station directly to the hotel is only 4 minutes and felt safe. However, I’d not recommend walking further to the other side. The hotel staff were very friendly including those working in the hotel restaurant. We had a nice dinner there. For some reason, you can’t find the restaurant on google map, we were nicely surprised by the quality of the food and the service. The room was very clean and we were particularly happy with the shower. The water pressure was very good. The beds were comfortable. All in all, I’d give this hotel a 10 out of the 10, the 1 was just because the less pleasant experience when we were walking around the other side of the hotel (this can totally be avoided if you plan your trip well).

United KingdomThere are no instructions for the coffee machine, call me old fashioned still prefer a kettle! Can't comment on food as didn't eat there.
Loved the convenience of its location, as arriving into Paris very late evening just having to cross the street and an easy check-in with helpful staff was ideal. Rooms were compact but had everything you needed. Extremely comfortable beds and great black out curtains made for a perfect night's sleep.
