Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe did not take the breakfast as it did not look like good value, stopping instead on a motorway service station on our way out, where a much better value breakfast is available.
Simple hotel, clean and quiet rooms. For the first night of our trip further south-west into the Pyrenees foothills this was a good overnight stop, having flown into Toulouse and arrived early evening, easy to find from airport in our hire car and easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. So much better than staying in a business hotel on the periphery. Parking in the street alongside was easy as well.

CanadaLimited restaurant options in the local area.
The staff were exceptional. The staff helped to arrange a taxi to the airport for our early morning flight. The location was close to the metro but there were limited options for restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. The hotel common areas were clean and well kept and our hotel room was clean. We were not able to have breakfast at the hotel as our flight was leaving early the next morning.

NetherlandsThere is no elevator or escalator available. Our room was situated on the second floor, making it challenging for elderly individuals to ascend the stairs to that level.
An excellent choice for a brief and budget-conscious family stay, we spent just one night here. It's conveniently situated not too far from the city center and extremely close to the metro station. There are many restaurants and supermarkets in the vicinity.

JapanThe room was compact and had all you need from a hotel room at a very good price. I just wish that the beds were a little bit more comfortable. And not a problem of the hotel, but restaurants around the hotel were closed on weekends. That might be regular in France, though.
The location was close to the center of the town (and Toulouse Matabiau) and was convenient using metro and bus. Supermarket (Carrefour) is close by which we used to get water and some wine.

BelgiumThe bathroom was ok but could use a refresher. It seems like it hasn't been renewed in 30+ years and there are some small moldy places near the window next to the shower (to be clear, the window is covered with an anti-seethrough plastic). Given the two-star rating and it's price, I think the deficiencies can be excused.
The room was sufficiently large for one night. It had all basic necessities and also had airconditioning, which was very nice in the 30 degrees Celsius we had when we stayed there. It's in a nice location, close to the (overcrowded) metro but also in walking distance of the city center. The breakfast could be served outside which was nice and cozy.

FranceVery good hotel for a short-stay and money reason, I travelled with my family, and we stayed one night, it is located not far from the downtown and very close to the metro station. The host was very nice and helpful. I strongly recommend the hotel for a short travel.

SpainThe bathroom needs to be renovated. It’s very old. The breakfast may be is typical for France but for us it was not good. They serve only a lot of bread (like croissants and other), butter, jam. They even don’t serve water, yogurts, cornflakes or cheese. Nothing.
The hotel has 2 stars and I think it really can have 3. It was rather nice, the bed was comfortable, the room has its own air conditioning.

CanadaAir conditioner not working, bit stuffy at night, could be an issue in summer if not fixed. Getting out of tub after shower a bit tricky for us older folks as you have a big step down. Breakfast was convenient but repetitive after four days. (Excellent bread, but perhaps some cheese slices on offer would be nice for those that don't always want sweet)
Close to Metro line. Quiet neighbourhood. Staff were very helpful with advice. Good size bathroom, with bidet and lots of shelf space. The dog Sam that greets you in the lobby is a nice treat! 💓

NetherlandsStaff seemed pressed for time whenever I asked questions. Also, It would have been very useful to know that taxis aren’t always readily available but can take up to 15 min to arrive ( unlike in other cities with same number of inhabitants where taxis will arrive within 2 to 5 min of a call). Lastly, the Minimes district is very easy to reach both by bus and metro. However, both these means of transportation were usually packed , also do not be surprised if you are accosted for money while trying to figure out which tickets and trains to take at the ticket dispenser. Fortunately, the latter only happened a third of the times I took the metro. I would advise to have breakfast at the hotel because there aren’t very nice cafés in the immediate surroundings , or else you have to be prepared to go downtown for a croissant and café au lait. I had dinner once at the Milonga South American restaurant ( 8 min walk away) and contrary to most reviews I’d read, I do NOT recommend the beef and chicken empanadas. The beef was extremely chewy and tough and the chicken was sour. I regret not having gone to La Mignardise instead ( also just 5 min away).
Room appeared very clean, bed was comfortable, very well made up and sheets crispy clean. Staff was very polite. Hotel very easy to reach from airport with public transportation but avoid peak hours at all costs or else it will be a challenge to get in metro ( let alone with luggage). If you’re traveling with kids a very crowded metro can be very stressful not to mention precarious so gauge the situation very well. I arrived in TLS around 12.30 on a weekday and took the AERO bus to Compans Caffarelli metro station ( 12 min ride) and from there just two or three stops to Minimes -Claude Nougaro metro station. The bus was almost empty and the metro was not packed yet (but already busy.). Hotel Alize is a 5 min walk from the metro station, if you come out on the side of restaurant La Mignardise and you’re standing in front of this restaurant, it will be a walk to the left side.

United StatesFriendly and helpful owner, and the petite breakfast in their lovely garden was just perfect! Very clean and sweet little spot out of the hustle and bustle of the center of Toulouse but minutes from the tram and center of town (by train it's 4 stops) and a grocery and other options in a lovely, older tree-lined neighborhood nice for walking. An easy overnight spot one way or the other if you are traveling through Toulouse, or wanted a longer stay at an affordable price.

Great welcome; very friendly and helpful staff. Seeing my rather special car, the owner insisted that I use his private sheltered parking. Good continental breakfast with the possibility to have it out on the terrace. Quiet area with fast access to the city centre (and station). Pleasant room and bathroom.
