Not sure about the toilet being in the bedroom and separate from a sink. No milk for coffee in the room My car was moved without my knowledge or consent, however this was addressed immediately. Otherwise all good

Hope this feedback can help you continue to improve: 1. I feel the personnel could have explained to us more about the facilities, given how much history is in those walls, and to help us find our way around. 2. We were given a room with about 2 hours delay and had to change in the lobby bathroom to get to the beach. I am 8 months pregnant so that was not the most comfortable experience, packing stuff in and out of the luggages in the public space. 3. We were upgraded room because the room we booked was not available. This was nice. Yet we were given room n8. Beautiful, but on the ground floor, with zero privacy from people walking by outside at the bar. The windows had no privacy curtains, what a miss!! So we had to keep the blackout curtains closed most of the time, which removed the lake view we paid for, and made the room darker than it needed to be. This was a big bummer for me. Please add privacy curtains to these rooms, such a cheap little addition would make all the difference! 4. No shower glass, which means every shower taken is a mess in the bathroom. Also, the shower made funky noises ses at night. Another small design improvement that would make a difference. 5. No elevator, just be aware if you need this for accessibility purposes. 6. Had to kill 2 spiders upon entrance in the room, and there was a hair in the bathroom... Miss from the cleaning staff? You would not expect it at this price point...

1. Outstanding location, peaceful, just in front of the lake. 2. Restaurant should get a Michelin star because it is SO GOOD! Congratulations to the chefs, I also left a review on Google, I cannot recommend it enough!!! 3. Historical, beautiful building and access to the lake. 4. Nice SPA. 5. Super comfy King size bed!! 6. Charming room and furniture all around.

There are couple of observations to be aware of. The hotel is marked as pet friendly, but you will not be allowed to enter restaurant with your pet. For the breakfast our family with a puppy was suggested to be seated in a lobby area which we would not expect of this level facility. There is a parking area which belongs to the hotel - which is lacking capacity and normally is overloaded when the hotel is fully booked. You will be suggested to leave your car keys at the reception, so that personnel could move your car depending on the necessity.

The place is absolutely gorgeous, beautiful lake view, walking path along the bank, atmospheric building of the old abbey with creaking floors and the smell of the old wood.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Abbaye de Talloires. Staff were very friendly and attentive. We used the spa, ate at the restaurant and rented the electric bikes. So much to do here even without summer weather. Highly recommend

Leaving this fine place behind.

This fine hotel has honed its perfection over many years without losing any of its flavor and freshness. This latest stay was no exception to the experiences we have shared here with family and friends. The food for breakfast and in the dining room is inventive and satisfying for the taste as well as the presentation. The staff are professional, friendly and excellent guides through the facilities and the menus. The cellar is replete with delights. We had a Côte du Rhône white which had been exquisitely developed, for a very reasonable price. It you have the opportunity to stay at the Abbaye, this refined establishment will fulfill all your expectations. Looking forward to our next visit. Linda and Jean-Guy

We liked it so much we will stay the next time we travel by car to our home in Italy - which we do 2 or 3 times a year and hopefully have some time left to enjoy the restaurant and spa too.

A fantastic location right on the lake. A lovely designed hotel which was authentic - we were upgraded to a fabulous sweet with lots of character and original features which meant loads of room with an amazing view of the lake -

This is a lovely old house, on the bank of Lake Annecy. The room was large, airy and clean. The deck area by the lake was a perfect place to enjoy this exquisite location.

Very difficult to make changes somewhere so beautiful but a comfortable room with big armchairs and books on bookshelves where one could socialise on wet weather days, (other than a bar), would be welcome.

The location is fantastic. The hotel is a former abbey right on the edge of the lake with a private pontoon giving easy access to the water. The building retains original features and objects with modern comfort and fittings. Super friendly professional staff

I didn’t like it when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night at nearly 4am. There were no hotel staff present to supervise or inform the residents during the evacuation night when the fire alarm rang. The situation was made even worse after to returning to our rooms and getting back to bed, when the fire alarm rang again and we had to evacuate again. I was told the following day that both of these incidents were false alarms. Our sleep was severely disrupted that night. I had expected that there would be a formal apology to the residents, and that there would have been some monetary gesture of goodwill to make up for the inconvenience and very poor service. Alas nothing so far !

No lift and few handrails for less able guests . A cheaper option for lunch and breakfast would have beneficial.

We did not have breakfast - too expensive. The person controlling parking was outstanding. The room was full of character and bathroom excellent.

I found the restaurant to be a bit slow and the selection of dishes to be a bit narrow. I would like to see some simpler dishes added to the menu.

I love the location and the character of the building. The Terrace is exceptional. The view from the room is magnificent.
