“Sylvia and Alain were the perfect hosts as they welcomed us into their home with a cup of tea. They have a wonderful home and our room lacked for nothing. As it was a Sunday they booked us a table at a local restaurant, “”Le Bistro du Quai” which was superb.

“I arrived very late as the address is very hard to find in the dark. He owner had kindly left the lights on so when I finally found the hotel in the middle of the night there was no problem for me to find the room and the keys were on the desk and ready for me. The problem of arriving late in town was mainly due to roadworks on the road after exit Châlons. This made it very slow to reach Charolles. The town is very nice. The hotel is a little expensive and the breakfast a little poor. I was lucky with the weather and could walk around town for a few hours and relax on lovely terraces with good food.”

We ate in the brasserie which was lovely - friendly but still smart. Excellent food - we both had the local beef. All staff were lovely. Good parking in the garage.”
