we had a room, which was very hot and humid. unfortunately, there were no mosquito nets on the windows, so we couldn’t open them to get any fresh air as there was an army of mosquitos swarming in within seconds

Wow - what a surprise! This "campground" is a little off the main road, located at a lake. I booked a cabin for 35 EUR/night and I got a cabin right at the lake shore, with coffeemaker, fridge, huge panoramic window, big table in front of the window, little balcony with chairs. Super fast internet in the cabin, sauna only 100 m from the cabin (you have to reserve it though). As I work remotely from time to time, this was the perfect spot!

The room was clean and nice. I really liked that we could use a common kitchen as well as washing machine and dryer. The location was fantastic. Just a minute from beautiful lake.

the position, just in front of the frozen lake, surrounded by snow and trees was amazing, just like the view from the big windows, the private suana, the fireplece... it's an amazing place

All the lights left on at the village. It would be great if you turned them all off at say 11pm every night so those who wish to walk out to see the Northern Lights can do so without light pollution

Fabulous location. Completely remote right on an enormous lake ideal for seeing the northern lights the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant.the facilities are basic (as expected) bit very well heated and comfortable We had a sauna which was fantastic as well. There is a communal kitchen where you can cook your own meals which was a great help especially as it is so far from town. We really would definitely recommend it to our friends

To make it ideal it would be great to have a comfortable king-size bed (or even comfortable double-bed) in one of the bedrooms :) This is the only point that we missed.

Fantastic place to stay - perfect location in the forest, surrounded by white hills and frozen lakes, ideal for Altai Skis and snow-shoeing. We have seen dancing Aurora outside of our chalet and by the lake multiple times. The cabin was clean, we loved the sauna and very well equipped kitchen, cozy fireplace inside and outside - with wood waiting for us in both places free of charge. Very helpful hosts, who give their guests a perfect space to relax, happily answer any questions and provide support if needed. We will be back for sure! One week was not enough :)

Dirty dishes in cupboards.

We stay here just one night so it’s hard to give a rating. I think the location is very nice, by the lake. Our cabin was comfortable, spacious, with equipped kitchen. The cabin have a wood stove and savna and a parking in front, large sofa and TV (with Netflix).

Minus 15 degrees at one point. Not blaming the place though, just saying

Great location near Ukonjarvi lake, in the woods, away from most people and any light pollution. The cabin we booked was good value, could have slept 6, has a kitchen which worked for our little budget. And a sauna to sweat out the aches and cold. WiFi was an added bonus. We saw the aurora 2 nights out of 3, for extended periods. This isn't guaranteed but the location is key, being so close to a dark spot with open skies (over the lake) maximises your chances. No need for those "Aurora Hunting Experiences".. my partner and I were alone in the dark with the aurora lighting the skies and mesmerising us. Highly recommend this place. The owners are reserved but friendly and helpful. I only mention this because some people expect an obsequious welcome or staff that act subservient. This isn't that place. You are guests and they are hosts and their approach of minimal interaction or disturbance suited us perfectly. They offer lifts to town when they're going and lend snowshoes if you need. Much respect to them both.

The location was excellent and very pretty pretty with eveything you need in order to relax. Very quiet place near Inari lake. The host was very friendly and informative!
