Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

FinlandBreakfast overcrowded, hard to find a table. Though the personnel is trying hard to clean and restock food and plates etc, it simply needs double space. Parking was full all the time during the weekend. Luckily there are plenty of places just opposite the parking entrance, and the night parking is free of charge on that street.
Location is fine, metro literally next door, trams and buses just in front. Good rooms. Breakfast is really good, porridge is great, various options for all tastes.

Hotel is well situated for both tram, metro and bus connections - no issues getting to anywhere in the city. There was a good breakfast at the hotel - good selection of food and even had some gluten-free options. Room we had was quiet which was nice.

FinlandThe hotel needs some upgrading. The room was very hot since the morning (sun shining directly to the windows). The hairdryer didn't work (although to the hotel's credit, they provided another one). It took forever for the hot water to come in the shower in the morning, so I'm not sure how ecological was my shower where half of the time I was just waiting for the water.
The best things were the staff and the breakfast. The staff was very helpful and understanding in everything (we had a bit of issues with check in, but the staff solved everything perfectly). The breakfast had lots of choices for every taste and was definitely worth the price. The location of the hotel was good, but there's street renovation going on at the moment, so it's pretty noisy.

United StatesThe hotel maintenance was nonexistent. I asked about a few minor repairs in my room and you would’ve thought I asked the world. The hotel provided fans to alleviate a less-than-satisfactory air conditioning unit, but other repairs involved tape instead of asking a maintenance colleague to stop by and make a more permanent fix. This was disappointing.
This hotel is in a great location, very close to the center of Helsinki. There are numerous public transit options available within a block of the hotel. And breakfast is amazing.

United StatesI don’t have anything to say that I didn’t like. I would have liked a sheet on the bed or a light cover option. The room was cold but I was able to change the temperature but I had to change it daily as it would go back to being cold.
The hotel was easy to find and in a nice neighborhood. Additionally the room was clean, comfortable. I really enjoyed their sustainability and their plant based and gluten free breakfast options.

GermanyThe breakfast room is very small for such a big hotel, so it was very crowded even though we got there early. Also, at some point, the water in the shower got cold. Sauna only works in the evening.
The location is fantastic and the price is very good compared to what you often get in Helsinki. The breakfast is nice, and the staff is friendly.

RomaniaThe breakfast was a dream: everything you can think of, plus karelian pies, beetroot "meatballs", herring, salmon etc. The hotel is located opposite a bus/tram/metro station and a market place. We took a bus from the airport and descended almost exactly in front of the hotel. It is also very close to city center. BTW tap water in Helsinki (I guess it was not only in this hotel?) is wonderfully cold and refreshing. The room (not "standard" as we booked but something better) was nice and quiet, with a view to the Hakaniemi market hall.
