Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

JapanHotel location is nice. It stands on edge of town and national park, so that convenient for shopping or eating out to town side and also easy to enjoy hiking in the woods or aurora watching at hill top hut. Breakfast is delicious. In-room sauna is very comfortable.

United KingdomBedsheets had hairs, was not completely clean. Bed was not double but rather two singles bunched together.
Location is good for getting to the ski resort. Room had sauna and kitchenette in the room.

MalaysiaThe room was extremely cold, really cold, even though there was heater in the room. It’s useless. The check-in reception was at another place (gielas cafe). We have to walk quite a bit. The breakfast too. Not in the hotel itself, have to walk out to Gielas Cafe.

FinlandIt was little old and run down. Like it was stuck in the 90s. Sofas were quite sqeaky and old. Worst part was the awful flat tiny pillows. Our room was next to the staff cleaning area so it was a a major pile of just laundry bags left outside. Felt little messy.
The location was excellent. Saariselkä is small so everything is walking distance. Safaris, grocery store, ski lifts etc. The Paraspaikka apartments had a Sauna in them which was great. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was ok.

ItalyRead Carefully if you want to book a room in this “hotel”. - after booking confirmation and payment, once at the reception an extra of 95€ has been pretended for a NOT requested upgrade (we have a small dog) even if we informed about the dog by phone before booking! - very poor Wi-Fi (I travelled the world, had a better Wi-Fi even in Africa). When I asked for a better service, their proposal was to pay extra 25€ for nothing (a place in a meeting room with same connection) - bad cleaning service - bath leaking water everywhere during a normal shower - the problem is the staff service: no customer care, no attentions for any request, no facilities, no reception after 10 pm, no communication between the staff, no problem solving! Never Again!
