Room 7 next to us the guest were talking loudly at 4am. Not the staffs fault. I wish guests had more respect for the quiet hours rules.

Bus stop near by. Santa Village 30 mins walk. Very clean and cozy. Perfect for my first visit to Finland. Very very good. I have travelled to many countries and have stayed in many hostels, but this is one of the best hostels I have stayed in. Lady cleaning in the morning was extremely friendly. Market right next door. Closes at 10pm. Thank you, I will be back.

My boyfriend has wide shoulders, so he mentioned that the bed could be wider.

We loved our stay here. Close to airport and Santa Claus village. As we arrived in Rovaniemi late at night, it went smoothly with self check-in. Taxi from the airport to Tikka Hostel was 21eur, so we were happy about our decision not to stay in Rovaniemi city center, which is more far away from the airport. If you don't have heavy luggage distance from the airport even wokable, there is a side walk. Hostel is very cozy, very clean, and warm. Comfy beds. Either sound isolation was good, or we were happy with neighbors. Common kitchen has pots, pan, plates, cups, cuttlery, and water kettle. There is no reception, self check-in, and check-out with the code. So, if you need to deal about your luggage storage, you need to contact in advance if there is a possibility. Many thanks for letting us keep our bags for a couple of hours after check-out. Hostel is close to Santa Claus village. We walked in 30 minutes, and you can even choose different paths. The bus stop to the city center and railway station is just outside the hostel, which was very convenient. Communication through chat was super quick.

The kitchen is a bit small for all guests, but we managed to eat during different times, so for us it was ok, but maybe for some it might be an inconvenience. At the same time, all know it is a hostel and not a private residence so have your expectations right!

All was great - shop nearby, bus stop to the city and Santa Claus village, hiking trail to the observation point 30 min walking. The kitchen had all necessary things for cooking. All facilities were clean! We felt like home.

I made a last-minute booking with some logistical issues I was facing, and I was quite pleased with the accommodations. I was hanging out in The Santa Claus Village and was thrilled to find that there is a walking/cycling trail you can follow all the way to the Hostel Tikka (takes about 30 minutes). I haven’t stayed at a hostel-type property in a long time, but it seemed like the clientele this property attracts is a bit calmer than other hostels, and everyone was super respectful of one another and the quiet hours. I appreciated all the instructions and guidance available at the property. It is convenient that there is a K-Market right next door.

If unlucky you wight struggle with prepping your meals as the kitchen area can only sit 6 people. Although, it was not a problem when we were there. Somehow people were eating at different times avoiding each other in the kitchen area.

+ supermarket next door + fully kitted kitchen (hob, oven, kettle, microwave, toaster, planty of plates, cups and cutlery) + dishwasher with tables provided + walking distance to Santa Clause Village (1.9km), observation tower (2km) and if you like walking to the airport (3.4km) + right by the bus stop (8, 10) + warm and causy, individual temperature controls in each of the rooms + spacious rooms (bigger than we thought from the pictures) + well maintained with shared areas cleaned daily + spacious parking in front of the property + well insulated from the outside, despite being by the road we couldn't hear any cars or noises from outside

This is a great place to stay near Rovaniemi. There’s a bus stop right outside the hostel, a grocery store next door, and it’s a very cozy atmosphere for your stay in the city. The rooms are clean and comfy. The bathrooms are nice and clean as well. There are only a few rooms, so it’s not too crowded. Easy check in: a numbered keypad with code provided when room is ready. I loved it!

Rooms aren't very soundproof from living room area, so can be noisy for light sleepers if other guests are moving around/talking in the living room (we had a family of 5 use the shared space on our last night there until 11pm with one child that kept singing so was quite hard to get an early night's rest).

Was a lovely, unsuspecting hostel near Santa's village. Located right next to a convenience store and just off a main road that leads to Santa's Village (20 min walk) and a nearby hotel that most tour operators pick up from (20 min walk). The hostel itself was warm, clean and comfortable. Had a large enough kitchen and living room for everyone as most of the time the other occupants did not use the facilities. The room itself was a decent size and comfortable, enough room for suitcases and the 2 beds and still plenty of room to move around.
