The only downside was that the log burner was out of use. But this didn't affect our stay at all and the cabin was so warm it definitely wasn't t needed.

Our cabin was in the most beautiful location. It was clean, warm, with good facilities. We were around 20 minute walk to the shop in Akaslompolo and 10 minutes to the lake. Easy to get on ski bus from nearby hotel. The kids loved the beds on the mezzanine floor which was super cosy for them to sleep in. Beds were all very comfy. The staff at the office were friendly and really helpful, and went out of their way to help us wiith late checkout/finding another nights stay when there was a possibility our night train was delayed (thankfully this wasn't need in the end!). Cabin had everything you coukd need for your stay including oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and drying room. It also had a sauna. Toilet rolls, washing powder and washing up liquid were provided. Would definitely return.

Our booking was for 12 days, however, we were forced to change the apartment after 1 week and move to another one (located next door, but we had to move many many things). Fortunately, we were notified in advance, so it was not a last minute surprise. We didn't get any explanation why it happened (my wild guess is they had an overbooking issue), nor got any complement from the property as compensation. When I was asked about late checkout, I was coldly informed that it's not available, even for extra money. The hotel booking staff is not cooperative at all, they are like robots with a fixed algorithm.

A man on reception was really nice. The location is great, right next to the cross-country ski tracks. The apartment is sufficient to fit 6 people, there were 2 of us, so we had plenty of space. Beds were comfy, there was a fireplace which makes you feel cosy.

It really was not clear how to collect the keys. There is a Holiday Club office next to Akashotelli which was closed and no sign on the door where to go. We had to phone to find out that there is an office in the centre of Akaslompolo (where we had just walked from) with a different company name where we could get the keys so lots of to and fro with our luggage (we were on foot). No instruction manual that we could find in the apartment so had no idea how to adjust the heating. That said - still a wonderful lace to stay and would definitely stay again. These are easy fixes so hopefully this is helpful feedback.

The decor is a bit dated, but it kind of adds to the charm. :) The stairs to the sleeping area are super steep - I would imagine they are very difficult to use if one has mobility issues. It would be nice if the kitchen had some basics (salt, pepper, tea).

Lovely rustic cabin with all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The private sauna is great, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is very well-equipped. Easy access to XC skiing & walking trails.

The 2nd floor has a very low ceiling - your head will feel it! In addition, the ladder leading to it is very steep. Check-in time is 18:00 - I have never see anything like that. At the same time, check-out is at 11:00, why?

Nice, modern apartment with everything you might need, including a sauna and a fireplace. The skii track is in mere 100 meters. Shops are in 1 km.

Not really where they said it would be. Turned out to be further away from the ski trails than expected. Found out AFTER Booking.com booking that we would have to change apartments part-way through the stay. Staff at weren't very customer-focussed - they saud I had to liaise with their cleaner about timing for moving to the next apartment. We asked them to do this but they wouldn't.

The switchboard and fridge were very loud and disrupted sleep. Heating was very slow and TV small.

The cabin was very far away from the main road. My sister hurt her leg on the trip and we had to give up our rental car the next day. It was very difficult to plan our route with all our luggage and with the injury. We were told that the busses would be very close by for when we were heading to the train station but this was not the case.

The location was way too far from 5he bus station. While booking it was shown that the cottage was located next to Akashotelli so we imagined it will be somewhere nearby. I have never received an exact address, so I had to call to the phone service to find out where we should go. And we had to go to another place to get the keys first. As we didn't have a car it was problematic to walk every day with skiing equipment... On the note from cleaner it was written : this cottage was specially prepared to... "names of three other people", so not for us, which let us think it was not the cottage I have booked in the first place. Two single beds are not comfortable for a couple.

Cottage was very nice and cosy with a nice sauna and well equipped kitchen.
