Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

BelgiumIf a neighbor puts on the light in the igloo, the whole area is lighted because of the glass roof.
Superb breakfast, never seen before. Perfect place for watching aurora : outside the town, completely dark, The glass ceiling gives great views They even give you a warning at night when the aurora shows.

South KoreaThis room was made to see, so outsiders come to see. It's not completly mine. Of course, if you hang the doorplate, no one else will come in.
It was a fascination experience and I recommend you come at least once!

United KingdomNo one expects sleeping in a room of snow and ice to be comfortable because it isn't. It sounds stupid to say but it was very cold! The sleeping bags they provided us with were very good and they did the job but even if you stuck your nose outside of the sleeping bag for a second to get some fresh air again, you were reminded just how cold it was so you had to choose between fresh air that was too cold or hiding in your stuffy sleeping bag! But never the less it was an amazing experience, just not a comfy night's rest.
It was an absolutely amazing experience! Dinner and breakfast were superb, we were woken up at our chosen time with some hot juice (an absolute must) and we had a great time exploring the hotel and admiring all it had to offer. Just outside the hotel, they had a massive snow mound you could slide down and you could skate on the frozen lake and it really was fun for everyone, not just the kids! The hotel's Sky Bar was also amazing although the lights were a bit bright to be able to see out at the sky so a little anticlimactic but it was a wonderful place to relax until you were ready to sleep and the drinks were amazing, best shots I've ever had!🤣 The locker room and toilet facilities were nice and toasty and very clean. The rooms despite being snow and ice, did have an extension plug which was a nice surprise.

Czech RepublicThat we didn't get to see aurora borealis, but that's definitely not hotel's fault :) We enjoyed our stay anyway.
Amazing experience to sleep in a snow hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and lovely. Everyone we met was very nice and kind. The sleeping bags really are warm! Did not get sick, enjoyed every minute of it! :) The hotel itself is beautiful to visit as well, public sauna was lovely before and after the night at the snow hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The surrounding area great for fun snow activities.

Israelbeautiful exquisite hotel, sleeping in the icehotel was a unique experience, we had a nice room. For a triple room i would especially recommend the streetview room. However, i would not repeat the experience again, as i prefer having the convenience of a private shower and bathroom.

United Arab EmiratesThe glass of the igloo was completely frozen whereas website markets the glass igloos as ‘see everything, 360 degree views of the arctic skies. Average breakfast.
Very very helpful staff. I used the airport shuttle to/from town and those were always on time with friendly drivers. I would definitely stay again with my family. I wish that that there was a television in the room.

GermanyThe locker rooms are a bit smelly. The way the sleeping bags are all thrown in one pile does not make the best impression. The fact that you throw them later on the floor of the locker room too.. They can think of some more pleasant way of hanging them for distribution and neater way of giving them back...
It is an exceptional thing to sleep in an igloo. Each igloo room has its own character and different theme. They were all designed but different artists so it is interesting to visit them all. It was not cold at night in the sleeping bags and we all slept sound. Nice sauna. Kota restaurant is also good. There is an ice bar and ice restaurant. They have ice slides for kids and an exhibition of ice sculptures. The staff is exceptionally friendly and nice - all of them: from the girl who was showing us around, the barman in the ice bar, waiters in Kota and all the receptionist. We asked to be waken up for norther lights and they woke us twice for the beautiful night aurora show. Pleasant breakfast with good selection .
