We were incredibly disappointed with the breakfast, we were there out of season so everything on site was closed. Our breakfast was dropped off in bags midday the day before. We are not fussy eaters but some of the food was inedible. We asked at reception if there was another option for breakfast and were told no. We were also told to go to the kitchen and speak to the chef. For the price payed for the accommodation we expected more or if you can’t accommodate breakfast out of seasons don’t offer it.

It’s a beautiful space, the views are breath taking. Stay lakeside if you can, its honestly spectacular and we even saw the Northern Lights in April. It was a once in a life time stay and a bucket list experience.

Less privacy, wake up early due to lots of lights in morning.

The location was absolutely amazing, the view was above expectation. Very comfortable beds, very clean, very warm despite snowing outside, breakfast was lovely (homemade pancakes and maple syrup delicious) and the staff very friendly and helpful. We really loved the whole experience. Thank you

Unfortunately the activities they provide are a bit of a hoax...especially the ones called "Searching for nothern lights". Do not except to go to find where the nothern lights could possibly appear: they will bring you to a defined and same exact place each time and IF they are nothern lights, good for you, otherwise too bad for you. Oh and they will bring you even if it's snowy and its 100% accurate you will not see them.

Room, breakfast and the place are fabulous.

There was a misalignment between the staff as each staff was giving us wrong info regarding the food. It’s far and limited supplies. I’d advice to Bring food and snacks with you.

The glasses was so beautiful and the room was very warm and the view was amazing.

There was the usual sign in the bathroom that said to think twice before asking for the bath towels to be replaced which made me think there is housekeeping service, but we never had housekeeping so I am not sure if there is no such service (then it should be as it's still a hotel and not a B&B) or if they missed our room.

Staff was incredibly accommodating to all our needs, from the communications beforehand (very attentive and very helpful) to the check-in and constant support. Shuttles are booked for you to get to the main reception where most of the activities start from. The location is incredible, you are staying where other tours bring their customers to chase the northern lights and you have the view already available from the comfort of your bed. When the weather allows it you can walk a bit around the lake (or on the lake if you dare). The chef was super good, food felt local and was delicious with a very filling set menus available every day. The sauna in the room is a very welcomed addition too since it was -20 degrees when we were staying over. Overall it is totally worth the cost and the journey to Ranua (we travelled from Rovaniemi for a 2 night stay). Also note, they have an app that gives you Aurora warnings so you don't have to stay awake all night, just leave your phone on and wait for their notifications to pop up, you also don't need to be a wind and sky expert during your short stay here :)

    Nothing, was absolutely stunning place

The view is spectacular even though it was cloudy all day. It also has the window heater to make sure the igloo is not covered with snow. the view is guaranteed! The staff was really nice too, they prepared 2 extra beds just in case the kids will stay in our igloo. Breakfast is also really, really good!!

Shower which should not flood the whole bathroom floor.

Breakfast was nice, fresh and tasty, good selection for different tastes. The igloo concept is a great construct - a comfortable bedroom and everything you need for your, still camping, experience - a small, but well-equipped kitchen, a bathroom and sauna (my kids tried for the first time and they were very excited)

Unfortunately Ranua does not excell culinaristically and because the kitchen in the room is very small, staying for more than few nights is difficult. The restaurant at the Artic Fox Igloos was closed when we stayed there. Maybe the food situation would have been better if the restaurant had been open. The breakfast at the Igloos was ok, it was just missing some local flare in the selection.

I was looking for an igloo that would be close to water and was not overly crowded. I was very pleased to find the Artic Fox Igloos. With only 20 Igloos you do get some privacy and a feeling that you are in the nature. For me this was very important and Artic Fox Igloos delivered exactly that. We were also very happy with the little sauna in the room. The cut of the igloo was very funtional as the living and sleeping areas were seprated. This gave the igloo a more spacious feel, and you did not need to see your luggage when enjoying the northern lights directly from the bed.

In the winter you need to unfreeze the glass often in order to have a view. But when you heat the glass - internal heating is off. Kind of head ache. Kitchen is too small and not really suitable for cooking. Only heating some food. We stayed with 1 kid and to be honest - there is no enough place for that. May be ideal for 2.

Perfect lake view from the igloo. If you are lucky enough and there is a solar activity and no clouds you will see the aurora right from the igloo. Private sauna in the igloo. Rich breakfast is included. Delicious dinner is available in the resort restaurant. Recommended!

I would of liked to have known there was no restaurant. That the restaurant I read about is at a totally different place. We had no way to get to the restaurant even if it was open. Thank goodness I asked the transfer driver to stop at a store to purchase food items & drinks because I knew we were getting in too late for restaurant. Our group of 8 luckily decided to go ahead and buy food for our second night. A nice man gave us a taxi phone number because we needed to go back to store on Saturday. Taxi was off on Saturday. We had to walk into town which was 3 miles round trip. Not impressed with being drop off and left with no way to get around. I guess if we didn’t purchase enough food for Saturday. We would of just been hungry. Sure couldn’t of carried enough food back from store. Maybe this was off season. if so then someone needs to update what facilities are available which is nothing. let guest know to stop and buy everything you need for your stay. Will I stay again. Yes for sure all 8 of us. Once we figured it out. I love camping just wish I’d known what to expect before going. I was sure there was a restaurant on property. Nope!

Property was beautiful. Cabin well equipped.

The location of breakfast and breakfast time is quite tricky. It is not in the same property. We traveled with two small children, so it is easier for us to have our own breakfast in Igloo and skip complimentary breakfast.

I missed two a night table beside the beds. I would have like to have some space or room where to leave the luggage, there is only one closet. I would have like to have some information about how probably is to see the Northern Lights that day, and maybe some tips.

The bed and the full view from the bed oriented towards the north is the best point of the hotel. The location and the view are very good to be in contact with nature. Having a private sauna inside the apartment is also a very nice thing.

Unique iglos, area and activities; shuttle service definitely needs improvement tho

The whole place is more made for camping then for a "luxury" iglo experience. Iglos and activities are unique and very good, but breakfast is poor (cantine style and food quality not suitable for a price of more than 500€ per night; it's made for the camping area...) Chaotic shuttle service!!! Iglos are only reachable by a 7 min drive or a 1h walk from the reception. That wouldn't be a problem at all if there would be a functional shuttle service. We stayed 2 nights and waited almost 2 hours in total for a shuttle. They forgot about the breakfast and airport return shuttle pickup and there were not enough drivers and cars available. Why don't you just do scheduled shuttles (like every hour) so you and the guests know what to expect?! We waited more than 50 min for a drive to the iglos (unacceptable) and then stayed with 5 people in a small car (thats not a nice covid measure...).

Unique iglos, clean and well made, nice area and a lot of opportunities for activities by the wildlife safaris company. Awesome husky tour and guide! Besides the chaotic shuttle service, this is a place to be!
