Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

KazakhstanThe check-out was at 11, but at 10:30 the cleaning ladies came to room, reminded me about the check-out time and started to sing, very loudly clean and speak. Basically they just forced me to get out earlier.
Really nice location, not far from anything. There is a big grocery store nearby too. Hang-out area on the first floor is good too and they have additional activities that you can participate in.

Super location, walking distance to all important places. Very comfortable bed, curtain, nice lockers under the beds, plenty of bathrooms so never need of wait, all very well organized, superb kitchen and living room, coffee available and warm 24/7 for free! Free and safe storage room until 20:00. Garbage recycling bins for different materials.

BrazilThe living room closes at 23:00 and then there is no place for people to interact and stay. One day I had someone from the staff knowing at my bed by mistake asking if was not checking out. The girl was not rude and I was not sleeping anymore but I guess they should be more organized
The room was comfortable and the bathroom was also bigger than other hostels. The kitchen was well equiped. I made great friends there althought it seemed more like a family hostel with people from all ages

ItalyGood vibes and staff really friendly and welcoming. The staff organized paellas night and free breakfast until 11 am. The location was excellent close to all the amenities and Tirso de Molina was just 3 minutes nearby.

SpainIt's a very well balanced hostel: facilities are good, beds are good, everything is clean and works well, showers and everything else. It can be very social if you want to, they hold special events every day and the kind of travelers staying there are mostly the friendly kind. All the people working there are kind and helpful, making your stay an easy one. Free breakfast, something no other hostel in Madrid as far as I know provides. So all in all, many strengths and very few weaknesses, if any. Thank you for all the good memories

United KingdomExcellent location as it is in the Town centre. Had a great two night stay , the staffs were so friendly . The paella night for 5 euros was excellent, had a chance to meet few roomies had good time going out with them and exploring the city. The hostel also provided various activities like city tour etc. Rating this high for the location it was in.

SwitzerlandThe bathrooms were pretty much always dirty, but I think that's more because of guests and not that they weren't cleaned regularely.
Nice hostel with comfy beds with curtains. There is AC in the room but it's still very hot in summer. Cozy lounge area (but quite warm) and nice kitchen. Free coffee and churros for breakfast. Great location to get to lots of spots in Madrid, close to multiple supermarkets.
