About 20 minutes travel time of walking/metro to Barcelona centre, but this wasn’t a problem for us.

Very comfortable beds. The room was spacious and very clean. A quiet area. A lovely place just outside of the main business of a city centre. Would stay again.

Beautiful and clean rooms, great for a comfortable stay. Did not try the breakfast. I’m not putting it as a con because I was aware of it before booking the room, but the hotel is a bit far from the city centre, it takes about 30minutes to get there by metro and the metro station is approximately 10minutes away from the hotel.

There was construction work in progress in a building right next to the hotel, so it was noisy in the morning. Fortunately, the staff managed to get us a better located room.

The hotel is located near a subway station and many bus stops, it was very easy to reach from the airport and to use public transports to visit the city. The neighborhood is very quiet and safe. The room was really comfy. The staff was perfect. The restaurant was excellent. I'd recommend the Ibérico Ham Croquette, the Octopus w/ Potatoes & Chorizo Pepper Cream and the astonishing Cheesecake.

Unfortunately our room was next door to the gym which has a punching bag in. When people are punching the bag it’s very noisy and the room shakes. Luckily the gym shuts at 10pm so it only disturbed our sleep once.

A great hotel with friendly staff. The comfiest beds ever!! Metro links are easy to get into the centre. Food in the restaurant is brilliant.

The hotel restaurant is a bit overrated. They make food not the same as the photo shared by the owner. For example, the pasta I ordered didn't have tomato. I asked the owner why it looks so plain. It was sent back to recook and have tomoto added... Obviously this shows the attitude of the chef! The meal is quite overpriced for the food quality served.

Spotless clean. Kind staffs One roof light in 216 is not working properly... But I avoided using it.

Excellent hotel. Location is wonderful for tennis and easy access to airport and central Barcelona. Spotlessly clean, modern, comfortable with the added advantage of a first class restaurant. Wonderful food - thank you chef! All tbr staff are fantastic. All round one of the very best hotels I've stayed at. Highly recommend it.

The lighting in the rooms could be better, particularly in the bathroom. I would like more choice for breakfast.

It’s no fault of the hotel and this is a fairly minor complaint, but there was construction going on next door during our stay and it was quite noisy when the workers started up. We did have our window open, but the room was quite well insulated when the window was closed and we like fresh air.

We really liked the location, just steps from the Palau Reial and in a lovely neighborhood with easy access to public transportation. Loads of good restaurants in the neighborhood to choose from. The room was quite spacious, very clean and very well equipped. The staff were lovely and kind. The restaurant served good food, and the breakfast was very good value for money - particularly if one shared a single breakfast, which was plenty.

It is very variably priced. Had to hang on until quite near our journey for the room price to be affordable. People smoking in the outdoor area of the restaurant so wouldn't be pleasant to eat outside. It would benefit from a comfy seating area for guests to sit with a drink after dinner.

It was a pleasure to stay at Upper Diagonal hotel. The staff was super nice and helpful and the room modern, comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had a lovely lunch in the outside garden restaurant. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Barcelona.

The bathroom did not include a bidet, common in Spain, and the furniture could have been better. While the overall quality of the freshly cooked breakfast was great, it is not clear if you can get more (without paying extra) because portions are normal and not generous. Coffee, for an Italian, could be improved in quality

Excellent room, very big, and almost silent. The bed was very comfortable and overall very clean. The shower was very nice. The included breakfast is very high quality (it is freshly cooked), while the coffee was ok.

Everything was great.

This was no doubt and excellent hotel! Let's start with the location which was very good in a very nice and calm neighborhood, very close to the metro station and with lots of restaurants- bars and super markets nearby. The facilities of the hotel were also great, specially the fitness room which was very well equipped and in excellent conditions, also the rooms were very nice and extremely comfortable and the bathroom with great amenities plus nice hot running water in the shower. Finally the staff were also very nice and really helpful all the time.

A super, small, friendly hotel within easy reach of transport links into the city. Fantastic breakfast to fuel the day. The room was comfortable and a good size.
