Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

MalaysiaI ate dinner in the restaurant- Wolf Tavern. It was dreadful. I was surprised because the breakfast was so good.
The hotel is very convenient- the Metro is just outside and there are lots of good restaurants around. I like the pool and the roof deck. Yhe rooms are large, clean and quiet.

PolandThere was holiday weekend in Barcelona in May....and unfortunately early morning (5am)so many people were very noisy outside of the building across the hotel. About one hour or more they were talking very loudly so I couldn't sleep,the window was closed.
The breakfast was excellent , nicely presented 👍. Fresh variety of food and good choice of drinks. Good juice and coffee.

Czech RepublicThey failed to prepare paid surprise package on our arrival. Bar is closing soon in the evening and you cannot buy cocktails in restaurant. One night they made our bad as two separate beds even though we were supposed to have queen size bed. Also for this value of money I sould expect to have bottled water available every night. In bathroom you can see that rooms are not up-to-date anymore.
Friendly staff, we had nice rooms with view on city and sleep in bed was very comfortable. Breakfast did not have overwhelming variety of food but it was regularly changed so you were able to eat plenty of different styles of sweet food etc

CanadaWashroom was outdated and the room was quite small. The washroom door was in front of the bed and the light switch outside of the bathroom, so any night trips will make the other person in bed get a balst of light. Also, we were supposed to get a free room upgrade to Superior double and I don't think we got it considering the size of the room. If it was the superior, not sure how small a standard would be.
Room was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. It is 15 minutes from the waterfront and about the same from the Ramblas. From the rooftop, it has an incredible all around view of Barcelona.

United StatesThere was A LOT of noise outside at night. Europeans tend to party and stay out drinking late at night (every night), so we had a hard time falling asleep at night with all the yelling and loud talking and laughing from people hamging out until 2-3am. Our room faced the main street and was on the 4th floor unfortunately so it was very noisy. The other con was the water pressure. Both the bathroom sink and shower had a very low water pressure.
The location of the hotel was perfect! It was centrally located with the metro stop right in front of the hotel making it a breeze to travel around town. There was even a good restaurant serving good breakfast next door, along with a mini mart making even more convenient. The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful and the hotel was nice and clean.
