Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SpainWhen you travel, the basics become very important yet overlooked by some accommodations. There was only enough hot water for one person to shower the following morning.
Spacious room, small balcony onto the street which is nice for the summer bookings. The postal is centrally situated and there is parking al round the property in the surrounding streets. There is a lift which is not a usual feature in th average hostel. Altogether it's a decent little hostel.

ThailandHostal Tarik has awful service, we stood outside 30 minutes trying to call the number plastered on the door (which was locked) Finally someone who sounded like he was sleeping acccepted. Card payment didn't function, he didn' have change for cash that he never even gave us back at checkout (as no one was there) and we just left the key in the basket as instructed. Room has the smallest double bed I've ever seen, even at 170cm you will sleep with your feet outside the bed Aircon hardly function, you will sweat in there as it's warmer than outside. The room we got was not even inside the hotel, it was a ground floor separate door. It was not the room in the pictures and was of far worse quality. And the best part? cockroaches in the room. Avoid this place, we paid 100€ for something that had no service, no comfort, no cleanliness and a tiny uncomfortable bed. Only thing I can't complain about is location, it was ok.

SpainThe price was super high for what they offered. No air conditioning for summer weather, the cleaning left much to be desired and the photographs show did not reflect the actual appearance of the room. The check in could only be done at very unusual time and, even after we arrived at the time they requested us to arrive, we had to wait for the cleaning to be done. Once we complained that the air conditioning wasn’t working, which suspiciously broke down “the previous day”, the manager offered us free breakfast. Suffice it to say that there was no breakfast the following day. A very unpleasant experience that we do not recommend. Try to avoid this place.

SpainThere is a big hotel under construction across the road and the works crews woke us up at 8 am on Monday morning. Will stay again when the hotel is finished.
Loved the location. Good view of the sea. So easy to get around the whole of Tarifa town from Tarik. Good signposting both to find it and exit from from. Parked right outside.
