Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesEven with a full package, you have to pay extra to drink anything at the hotel. No free water in the rooms, at lunch/dinner, or near a fitness area. The only exception is a few fruit juices and water served during breakfast. Parking is confusing. You can pay 20 euros a night for secured parking. Many people parked next to the hotel for free, and reception says it is okay (if you can find a spot). But I also read a dozen reviews of people still getting towed or fined for parking there. There is completely free parking in a dirt parking lot a 10 minute walk away towards the Carrefour hypermarket. The hotel pool area gets very loud during the day. Rooms aren't very quiet either, and the furniture is not the most comfortable.
Great location right next to the beach. The suite rooms have much more space and a dining area that's quieter and with better quality food. There are lots of activities scheduled throughout the day at the hotel, especially for kids. Room WiFi is okay. A/C works just fine.

GermanySee above comment.
It looked under staff. Long queues at reception and outside restaurants. Pool had cold water. Bathroom water would come to room and even to the corridor. There was water collected infront of a door for 24 hours before it was cleaned. One person in the room service was cleaning all the rooms on a floor and so our rooms floor was not even wiped. Not too many vegetarians options in the buffet.

IrelandNo kettle in the room. Nowhere to hang bits to dry. Could do with a small towel drying rack in a balcony. Shower seal was loose, so a lot of water on the floor.
Excellent location. Very powerful shower. Beachfront, so great sea view.

Poland- No electric kettles in many rooms. I would expect that to be a standard service. You need to rent one from the Front Desk at 20 euros, which I think is a bit much, even though it's fully refundable at check-out. - Not enough power outlets in the rooms! Again, if you want to plug in a phone charger or two AND the aforementioned kettle, you need to go down to the Front Desk again to rent an extension cord with a splitter (10-euro deposit!). And then to plug it in, you need to get behind the desk in your room, where all but one (next to just ONE of two beds) power outlets are hidden. - the air-conditioning in the room was insufficient and hard to adjust and the staff weren't very helpful in getting it fixed, claiming it was working fine. Well, it wasn't... And the controls are installed VERY high up on the wall, making them extremely hard to reach for short people. - the following is more about Santa Susanna and less about the hotel itself: the beach along with the first "row" of hotels is separated from the rest of the town - including the main street/promenade - with a rail line with only a handful of underground passages. Thankfully, the hotel sits on one of those, but this is still very inconventient. Also, the train station is a 15-minute walk from the hotel, which is far enough to make a day trip to Barcelona a rather exhausting experience.
- Very nicely located right next to the beach, with its own beach access. - Excellent, diversified food, though I think it could use more spices and feature more local specialties and flavours. But really, a huge choice of different kinds of delicious food! - Almost all rooms have a view of the sea. - Clean swimming pools in the middle of a delightfully sunny patio. - Enough animations to keep those who like this kind of fun busy, but at the same time, not obnoxious for those who prefer to do their own thing. - Large TV screens in the rooms: many hotels tend not to replace and update older, smaller LCD screens, this one spared no expense in this department.

LatviaIn a superior room were just two sockets.
We traveled as family of 6 persons. Staff was great, every day our 2 rooms were cleaned. I especially want to mention the manager of the restaurant (a big man with short hair, standing at the entrance), he really loves his job and brings joy to others. Every day in resrtraunt were different dishes for eating. The location is absolutely the best, 3 min. to the beach, 5 min. to the main street of Santa Susanna.

IrelandLifts - the biggest disaster as they were always crowded and slow.
Very good location of the hotel as it is really close to the beach but also to the commercial side of the town. I need to mention that Javier in the restaurant was a real gentleman, always happy, polite and helpful! Very nice and clean swimming pools and areas for children. Definitely recommend for families with children although the animation team could be a bit more engaging.

United KingdomThe toilet facilities in the public areas were limited, shared facility by the pool area with 4 WCs not really adequate for the number of guests. The dining experience was not great, lots of choice, however the food needs to be hotter. Some of the staff in the dining area would benefit from customer service training, in particular Carmen, my wife raised her hand to attract her attention for a drinks order, Carmen scowled at my wife and said do you want a taxi. Very little interaction with the staff, although they are on the whole efficient.
The location was excellent, the room was good, very comfortable beds, and a great shower. Reception staff were always helpful and attentive

United KingdomCame to celebrate both of our birthdays, so expected something a little special, like has happened before at a different hotel, nothing crazy, like a chocolate bar; however, nothing this time, even tho we have let them know in advance. Was a little disappointed, but not a big deal.
The location of the hotel is perfect, the beach is just a minute away, with plenty of space. Staff is lovely and very polite. The food was delicious; however, it was practically the same every single day, both at breakfast and dinner.

United KingdomThere wasn’t enough sun loungers for everyone, so you had to get to the pool early to get them. The lifts in the hotel were very slow so make sure to ask for a room on floor 1 or 2. The sand on the beach was rough. The hotel didn’t provide free sun loungers on the beach. The swimming pool was cold but good for cooling down in. We thought the small circular pool with jets would be warm but it was cold too!
All of the staff were very friendly, especially the staff on reception. Checking in and checking out was quick and easy, and our room was ready early so we didn’t have to wait around. The room was a great size and cleaned every day. Pool towels were worth borrowing as it was a €10 deposit per towel, and you could swap them every day for a clean one. The sun loungers by the pool were comfortable although by 11am they were all taken, so you need to go earlier, especially if you want a sun lounger with an umbrella. There was always entertainment on and we thought the aqua gym and aqua dance was fantastic. Drinks were available to buy from the bar by the pool, but we chose to take a bottle of water from the shop to save money, and stored these in the mini fridge in our room. There was a shop across the road which sold everything we needed for our stay (drinks, snacks, sun creams, toiletries) and pharmacy next door. The food was nice and accommodated picky eaters. At lunch and dinner they had paella, fish, meats, pasta, pizza, chips, vegetables, along with fruit and puddings. Every meal was a buffet style so you could eat as much as you wanted. There was plenty to choose from but the food started to get repetitive towards the end of our stay. There was no queue to get in to the restaurant. Drinks were included at breakfast, so you could have juice, water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate. However at lunch and dinner there was no water available, and all drinks had to be paid for. The wifi was good and we even managed to get wifi on the beach! We visited Barcelona by train which was very easy. Santa Susanna train station is a 10 minute walk and the train went directly to Barcelona in under an hour. We landed in Girona Airport and found the cheapest way to get to the hotel and back to the airport was by coach - we used the From2 shuttle bus and had no problems.
