Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomReally minor point but the hotel was a bit stingy with complimentary refreshments. The hotel is not cheap, but yet only managed to provide one small bottle of water in the fridge for the whole 4 night stay - surely this should be replenished each day as a minimum?
Nice location - very peaceful. Facilities were generally very good and maintained to a high standard. Food provision was good, and Matt, the manager of the Aqua restaurant was exceptional and very knowledgeable - he's a great asset! Gym and spa were well laid out and a real asset to the hotel experience.

SwitzerlandSometimes towels provided were very old and starting to tear off (with holes or cracked) although they were washed and obviously very clean. It leaves bad guests’ impressions of old, not renewed property inventory used for basic hotel service.

United KingdomThe ‘suite’ wasn’t quite what we’d expected- a sofa had been listed as one of the facilities but there wasn’t one or space for one. Breakfast ended at 11 am, even at the weekend. It’s too early. We also had a coffee machine in the room, but only one supply of 5 capsules over a seven night stay. When we asked for more we were told this was all you get as a welcome pack - even though we were staying 7 nights! The capsules were also not available in the shops so a bit frustrating. There was a cafe outside where people with barking dogs would sit early in the morning and wake you up. The cafe was lovely but the kitchen wasn’t always open so you couldn’t often order a snack with your drink.
It’s right by the sea and a quiet location. The breakfast spread was superb. The reception staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomStayed in the Junior suite with 2 bedrooms. The second bedroom would benefit from a table/place to sit comfortably at a laptop.
Beautiful sea view right on the beach. Probably best in Sitges. Lovely clean apartment with more cleaning than you could ask for. 2 x good size pools for variety. As aparthotel is a little far from town, it is good to have an option for a land train or local L2 bus from the Terramar hotel just 5 mins walk away. Depends on what you want, but we like being sea front and out of town for peace, choosing to walk or travel in to town daily and evening if we want. There's also a well stocked mini market below the hotel with a morning fresh bakery section. This was our second visit and was very good.

NetherlandsThe gym is super small, and all the machines are outdated! They need to be replaced as they’re not even safe to use. Food menu at the terrace in front of the sea is a bit poor, and lots of unhealthy dishes on the menu. The proper dining restaurant has the best food and great vibe as well.
Location is perfect and the stuff are very friendly!

United KingdomNothing negative to say. It’s a little far from the centre but the hotel makes this clear and it wasn’t really an issue due to the free bikes and little tourist train that was available outside.
Clean, bright hotel. Amazing breakfast, excellent pool. Provision of free bikes was a huge bonus, as was the little supermarket.

Poland1. Far from the city - the small turisty train broke we needed to walk. 2. Air freshener in the room - it was not nice smell and very intense. 3. Mosquitos - DONT LEAVE YOIR WINDOWS OPEN WITH LIGHTS ON! 4. Price - value - it’s quiet expensive as for the how old the hotel is.
Many people complain about the apartments but the hotel is well protected and clean. Amazing spa with view. Big rooms with spacious terrace. Nice staff.

United KingdomLocation too distant from Sites town and beaches; dedicated beach bar is on beach that is too rocky to swim (son cut his foot); hotel gym too limited (joined municipal gym for the week); bicycles in need of maintenance (several exchanged for faults/flat tires)
Room excellent, especially having the option of using in-room kitchen; view fabulous; pool good; dedicated beach area convenient (sun loungers, shade); use of hotel bicycles essential.

United KingdomThe views from our 4th floor balcony were amazing, we come from Ireland and miss the greenery when in Spain, with the golf course in front and the sea on the left 🤍 waking up to it and sitting under the stars, family with two (11&7) kids we ALL LOVED our stay. Staff are beautiful and welcoming at all times and food is pretty good in particular on the Italian pizza and the restaurant accross from pizza place 👌🏼 the fish one has amazing views and as everywhere else beautiful staff but the food is a little over priced and not as great We will be back for sure!! 🤍🤍

AustriaThe hotel is at the end of the promenade, away from the town centre. The nearby beaches have a lot of stones. There are no large supermarkets nearby.
We had a big room with an amazingly large balcony, which overlooked the pool and you could see the sea. The rooms was comfortable. There are free bikes to go into the town. There are several restaurants on the ground floor and a decent mini market in the basement.

GermanyThe breakfast was already included but otherwise the restaurants of the hotel are rather expensive (could be cheaper). If you come from abroad and want to make a tour in the area or to visit Barcelona (i.e. not stay in the hotel all the time) then consider renting a car. Parking is available for 15-25 euros a day.
We took a suite for a family of four, rather expensive but usual for holiday season. The sea is just under your balcony, two big swimming pools, jacuzzi, child-friendly, good breakfast buffet, modern room, excellent air-conditioning, clean towels everyday, good room service, friendly staff everywhere, fantastic views.
