Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe main bar, sited in a lovely room only opens in winter and the pool bar closed early.
Because the hotel knew we were celebrating our 49th wedding anniversary they upgraded us to a superior room with sea view.

United KingdomBeing next to the main road at the back it was a little noisy near the pool but our room was at the front of the hotel and we slept like logs. Because of the air vents in the bathrooms, some sound did travel through there from our neighbours but there was no sound transference in the main bedroom.
There is little not to like about this hotel. We loved the location, you literally walk out the back, cross the road and your on the beach. 10-15 minute walk to the Marina and 25 minutes to the town centre and main sights. Or catch the bus for €1.50 of which there are loads. Rooms were modern, clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. Could have been improved with an egg/omelette station. A neat pool area with sun loungers too for days we weren't on the beach. A pool bar for drinks and snacks during the day. The staff were all friendly, happy and helpful. There is a small gym equipped with a treadmill, stationary bike and various cable weight machines. I don't think this is in the property spec.

United KingdomThe cooked food selection, (ie. bacon, mushrooms etc), was lukewarm, never hot. This was off-putting and disappointing. I stopped eating from the 'hot' food section due to this. A shame as such a fabulous selection otherwise. I paid for a balcony with sea view which was great. Be aware of how busy and noisy the main road is though. However, shutting the double set of balcony doors at night makes a huge improvement.
Comfortable rooms, great bed, friendly and helpful staff and a very good breakfast with a wide selection. The pool area was lovely too with a jacuzzi, lots of sunbeds, plus a small bar tucked away serving drinks, cocktails and various snacks.

United KingdomIt felt a bit anonymous. We told hotel reception about a problem with the bathroom door not working and it took a reminder the next day to get it fixed. I didn't get a feeling of warm personal service, but it was fine really and no major disruptions occurred.
This is what you'd expect from a 3 star hotel. It's not grand, but it is perfectly comfortable and clean, with good beds, plenty of space, a more than adequate breakfast, a swimming pool and access to the beach.

United KingdomBeds a little firm for our liking but loved the room overall. It's a shame there isn't an indoor bar open in the evenings.
Lovely rooms, breakfast and overall setting. Very enjoyable stay. Easy stroll to the city centre along sea front. Would stay again.

EstoniaThe only negative thing is that no soundproofing at all. You can hear practically everything inside room.
The location is really good, i enjoyed walks by the beach to the city; enough sunbeds by the pool; breakfast was at normal times and you didn't have to search for a table, they had 2 coffee machines too.

GermanyLooked like it was newly reconstructed, so our room, the breakfast room and the pool area with garden were amazing! Great location, the bus stop ist just outside the hotel and the busride to the city takes only about 10 minutes. You can directly enter the beach from the hotel, which was a big plus for us. All in all, we had a great stay and definitely recommend it!

United KingdomThe noisy road. Really noisy and fume smelly. Astroturfing around the pool, not great for the environment and scorching hot in the sun. Sunbed hogging. Reception interior and staff welcome could have been a bit more inviting.
Breakfast was great, room was clean except for the dirty sock we noticed over the smoke alarm so not only disgusting but also dangerous. Location was great for beach but we preferred the pool. We also preferred to walk to the city centre but there was a bus stop outside.

United KingdomThe hotel needs to make it clear the hotel isn't on the beach. There was no one manning the bar at around 9pm (no biggie but warn guests about bar opening times)
Loved my one night solo stay (big thanks to the team at Soho Boutique Las Vegas for my upgrade). The gym was out when I stayed and they were updating the pool area in April 2024 but it didn't have any impact on my stay. I had booked this thinking the hotel was on the beach so please note there is a main road between the hotel and the beach. Not a biggie but something to think about. Quiet side of Malaga with a nice relaxed vibe to the hotel. Room was spotless, big and well equipped (plus charging points by the bed) Breakfast was a feast with something for everyone. Recommended!
