Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

ItalyOne of the two bathroom was a bit tiny. One of the three rooms had a window on the interior part of the building and you could hear a bit of noise when someone used the elevator.
Beautiful, bright and spacious apartment (for 3 people) in a central position. 4/5 minute walk by Plaza Catalunya. Wi-Fi worked well. The host was kind and provides us necessary information for our stay. Air conditioning worked very well. Clean towels and bathroom kits were provided by the host.

United KingdomAlthough the apartment was clean in general, including the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms, when we walked around the living room our feet became dirty and had bits stuck to the bottom, so it could have done with hoover and mop.
Called number given on arrival. A lovely lady met our group outside of the apartment block and let us in. She gave us a map of the area, showing us the best places to visit and where to avoid, to keep us safe. We were shown around and made to feel comfortable. Location was just right - close enough to the main shops (i.e. primark) and well known eateries (i.e. Hard Rock Cafe, Burger King, McDonalds) as well as lots of independents. One of the bedrooms had a balcony with a table and chairs outside to sit and relax. The other host (as there were two people managing the block) arranged for our taxi back to the airport (expect to pay 40-45 euros for the taxi, they may charge a couple of euros more during weekend). You can get a bus from the airport that passes the apartment if you prefer.

Irelandone of the single beds, the wooden supports were evidently broken and I kept falling through the bed. I then went onto the pull out bed to avoid this & then sheets for the pull out bed were not clean. the light in the small bedroom constantly flicks. OTher than that, the apartment was fantastic

PhilippinesThe a/c unit blows off foam-like particles so perhaps more regular cleaning/maintenance should be done. Might be an issue with guests who are highly sensitive if these stuff are inhaled. Good thing we were not so it didn’t really become a problem.
A good homebase to explore the city. Strategic location close to subway stations and bus stops. Near several convenience stores too. Apartment is equipped with essential and basic appliances though it would’ve been easier for us to operate some of them if there were detailed instructions posted for reference. Albert, who oversees everything was helpful and friendly.

IsraelThere weren’t enough warm water so we couldn’t take a shower one after the other. The water run off after 2-3 showers and we were 5 people. The washing machine didn’t work properly so we couldn’t use it. And we were counting on it. The neighbors from the upper floor was very noisy. One of our nights was unbearable. Kids had to go sleep in the living room.

The apartment was clean and comfortable - especially the beds. The weather was terrible while we were in Barcelona but the heating worked well. The best thing about the property was it’s location close to Playa de Catalunya and Las Ramblas.
