I loved the togetherness the hostel created all going out as a group. The property had all the necessities you could need.

There was a sewage smell that came into the room of a morning and night, one of the showers was leaking from the ceiling and the breakfast was underwhelming

Quite noisy at common areas, especially in the evenings when the terrace is closed and its not possible to get away from loud music and shouting people. My food was moved to the "free food" shelf even though the bag was labeled on both sides with proper dates - by the time I realized that some of the food was gone. My electronic toothbrush was stolen, I know its not a fault of the hostel, but the feeling was not so nice. Id prefer I could put the duvet in the duvet cover - you only get another bedsheet though, which is not very hygienic. Overexpensive - Barcelona is getting too expensive, really, you will pay a half of the price for the same accomodation in Madrid or Valencia.

Great location - you may go on foot to many places, close to Passeig de Gracia train station, too. Superhelpful staff - thank you! :) The hostel is clean, rooms and bed are comfortable. Well equipped kitchen (though I missed a freezer). Free lugagge storage.People behaved rather polite and quiet in my room.

There aren’t as many female only hostel rooms. Normally I would book one of these, but seeing as it was just one night, being in a mixed dorm was fine.

Rock Palace was such a cool spot, I’m sad I was only there for one night. Very central to many of the sights, close to lots of different restaurants, and it had a pool on the rooftop where I got to watch the sunset on the city. If you arrived before your room was available, you could leave your bag in the storage. The staff were so lovely and I discovered a beautiful quiet room that had A/C and a gorgeous stained glass window.

The fact of the Pool, the pool is really small to call that a Pool, and there is just two toilettes per floor so that is not nice at all.

Bathrooms small and don't feel very private or clean. Pillow extremely flat and no privacy curtains on bed. Doors need to be locked with key card each time coming in and out which didn't get done much, so room didn't feel very secure with anyone able to walk in.

Full communal kitchen and cheap dinners every night, location very easy to get around.

There was no chair or stool to sit on in the room, even just to put on shoes! The mattress was very soft & not good, rather bad I'd say! The window couldn't lock to avoid road noise.

They charge city tax and a deposit of 10 euros before your stay. You have to declare a credit card to pay. It was a surprise for me. It would have been better if they would have indicated these extras separately on Booking com.

They have a 24/7 room desk. This was very important for me. Breakfast was 7 euros and unlimited. It was great. Staff was friendly and good.

It would have been perfect to have a private room but I didn’t realize,when I booked the room,that I it would be more of a dorm situation. But the attic was really cool and comfortable.

They come to lock the doors of the patio at night. Also we can't turn on and off the lights ourselves. It felt weird and very restrictive.

Really nice place overall with all the references to music everywhere. Amazing rooftop to hand out Amazing to have a pool when it is crazy hot AC is great! Very friendly staff

Not particularly clean - there was an old towel in our room that was still damp, one of the windows wouldn’t shut, some sheets were missing and a pillow was missing.

Meeting new people at dinner was really good and was quite close to the main places that I wanted to go to, which made it accessible to walk around the city rather than using transport.

We were told via message weeks before our stay that we would be able to use the lockers to store our bags whilst we attended a festival but at check out we were told it wasn’t possible.

This hostel was better than I anticipated - clean rooms, comfortable beds, kitchen, lockers, even computer room. Deposit is returned back in a few days.

Showers and toilets were clean. Good social aspect for solo travellers. Staff were very friendly. Very good location.

Its quite expensive - the same week (June/July) I paid a half of the price for a great hostel in Madrid. Quite noisy - kind of a party hostel and I dont mean just the evenings, sometimes during the day the music in common area was played really loud and not everyone is a big fan of reggaeton :)

Great location, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, large fridges. The hostel is clean and pleasant to stay in.
