Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

AustraliaCheck in procedure. While received messages encouraging us to check in online, it was never mentioned that that was the only option! Because of limited wifi access I was happy to check in upon arrival but there is no one at the hotel! Wasted 1.5 hours with check in after incorrect code details were given. They should be straightforward and say, no staff on side, check in only online prior to arrival. In the short time we were there, two other parties had check in problems, standing at the front door not knowing what to do.
Location is great. Room has nice view.

United KingdomExcellent location across the plaza from the Parador and the church. You can drive to it to drop passengers and bags but there is no parking whatsoever in the old town. However the hotel has two dedicated slots in the nearest municipal carpark outside the walls. It is about 400 metres on foot, uphill, to the hotel. There are no public areas or cafe or restaurant in the hotel, it is rooms only. But across the street is a cafe which can provide breakfast and a couple of doors down is a bar which also serves simple meals. Rooms at the front overlook the plaza, those at the back look across roof tops to hills beyond. The church clock bells seem to be turned off at night, so it is quiet enough. The rooms are simple but adequate although do seem overpriced. Location, location...

AustraliaHotel San Nikolas is a lovely small, boutique hotel on a lively small square with views of the ocean. The front desk staff were terrific, suggesting restaurants, booking a taxi for us to the airport on our last day and always open to a good chat. Our room was terrific, two floors up, directly overlooking the plaza with views to the ocean. Terrific part of Hondarribia, not overflowing with we tourists, with an absolutely terrific restaurant just one street away!

AustraliaGetting to the hotel was a little difficult - our GPS couldn't work it out. We parked outside the historic town and walked our luggage in. Managed to find our way there to pick up the luggage when leaving.
This hotel is in an absolutely fabulous location, right in the centre of the beautiful historic town and a short stroll to restaurants and bars. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the decor was lovely.

JapanI have almost no complaints, but if I have to say so. There is no bathtub and the shower room is a little narrow. The streets of the city are all cobbled, so if you have suitcases, a taxi is a must. The price feels high for the facility, but it's fair as this hotel has the best economy.
The hotel with the most spectacular views in Hondarribia. The rooms are very cute and clean. and not narrow. Very friendly and kindness staff. The bed is comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.
