Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe food was meh. It's partly my fault since I am a picky eater. However, some nights, I literally just ate potato wedges. The desert doesn't have much flavour to it. My friend loved the Mexican night. However, we both struggled to eat anything on the hawaiian night. If I went again, I wouldn't pay for food (we chose breakfast and dinner), I'd just have the room only. Water at dinner had to be paid for, but it's free at breakfast. Breakfast was alright, but we mostly ate pancakes as there wasn't much else we'd eat. On two of the days we had cheese and ham toasties which were incredible, but not available all the time. They need more fruit and veg available also as there were no berries or anything, just apples, oranges and melon. In the evening, there were only peas for one night, and carrots for two or three. The pool bar staff weren't incredibly hospitable, however they weren't outright rude either. But the choice of snacks there weren't great. We went to the local shops and bought snacks and drinks there as it was much cheaper. The room keys also decode themselves if they go near a mobile phone, which I understand is normal in most places but it was very inconvenient as if they passed each other in a bag or backpack it meant we had to trek all the way down to reception to sort it out. Not much information given about the rooms either, took us two days to figure out the aircon only comes on when the balcony door is shut. But maybe that's just us being daft. Overall it's a great hotel for the rooms and cleanliness, I just wouldn't have the food again.
The pool was great, there was lots of room, and also had a top deck where you could sunbathe. The rooms were very clean and the cleaners were thorough. The shower is nice and our balcony overlooked the second hotel and their entertainment which we liked. The location is great, close to the beach and also right next to town, so it was only a few minutes' walk into where all the bars and restaurants were. There was a great boardwalk along the ocean, which took you round to the larger beaches, too. Overall we had a good time staying here and I would go again.

LithuaniaDisappointing. A system where even water is paid during dinner. Bad coffee for breakfast. The toilet paper resembles a cobweb and there is no toilet brush in the toilet. Towels are not provided at the hotel pool. The internet connection is weak and there was no internet connection at all for more than two days. Even at an intercity bus stop you won`t find a bench or a roof. Sunbeds on public beaches are very expensive.
There is the good stuff. All the reception staff are very nice and tried to mitigate hotel`s shortcomings. The pool, sunbeds and the whole environment is good, except for public smoking. The choise and quality of the food is decent. There is an intercity bus stop near the hotel, as well as various cafes and shops.

United KingdomHalfway through our stay it appeared some kind of school trip was on and it felt like hundreds of school kids arrived at the place running around at the pool shouting from balcony’s and running around during dinner and the entertainment which did annoy us but I get it can’t be helped ! WiFi also dropped out a few days in but we assumed it was from the vast amount of kids using it ! But it was free and did work occasionally:)
Gorgeous pool area, we were lucky to stay at the hotel while it was fairly empty so always space around the pool and staff were lovely ! Didn’t get a sea view but weren’t too bothered as still had a nice pool view and could see the mountains in the distance and the theme park and Ferrari land (which I highly recommend going!!)

United KingdomSame 6 songs on repeat by the pool. This is enough to send you crazy. Not a lot of choice for breakfast but loads of options in local restaurants.
Hotel in a great location to beach / restaurants although be careful of steep hills. Rooms clean and comfortable. Ramp up to hotel and lifts available, wheelchair friendly. Reception staff friendly.

BelarusThe state of the room was not perfect - the shower was leaking, the lock in the toilet did not work, one of the windows had a chink. It did not ruin our overall impression, but these rooms required some maintenance for sure.
We really liked the food - there was a lot of various meals in the restaurant and everything was tasty.

United KingdomFood options were just ok - if you don’t like fish/seafood it’s not ideal as this was the majority of food every day. Smell from toilet in the bathroom every now and again, not a major issue but not great.
Good location, 10/15 minute walk to the main promenade but local shops and restaurants nearby also. Pool area was clean and spacious. Small beach opposite with a 10 minute walk to main beach.

SpainSun bed booking is theoretically forbidden, but everyday, ALL sunbeds were booked by the same people at 9:00 in the morning. NOBODY from the hotel staff tell them nothing, so it was not possible to be laid down on a sunbed on the swimming pool, really sad. The hotel should make people to follow the rules. Cleaning of our room was always around 15:00, when we were already resting after lunch, very late. Lift is RIDICULOUSLY slow. You have to wait 5 mins or more at meal hours, and they are now working very well. In addition, there was very bad smell on the room that came from the toilet, there was some problems with the toilet/shower piping.
Nice restaurant and very kind people in the restaurant. Specially Edgar, really nice!

SpainTheir pools are small, and they close very early, at least four hours before sunset. The staff is not so friendly and the internet connection is poor. It is also very Crowley. Not a real 4star hotel, and not value for money.

SwitzerlandThe cleaning service was awful, they didn't change our sheets not even once in our stay...and the mattresses were awful, metallic like army, extremely uncomfortable to sleep in, the door of the balcony did not close well so we always had air entering, no phone service, the lock of the bathroom broken, despite signalling all this, nothing was done or changed...
Very near to the beach and all you need (shoos, pharmacie, etc) around.
