The hill to the hotel is tricky in the dark.

Cake and coffee is freely available all the time. The bedroom was clean large and comfortable with glorious views.

Strong audibility in the room: you can hear conversations in the dining room, neighbors, and the toilet flushing in the next room. It would be nice to have a kettle and microwave in the room. Not very warm (march).

Secluded hotel away from populated areas with excellent mountain views. Private parking. Minimalistic room with authentic design and a refrigerator. Comfortable bed and pillows. The best breakfast I've had in Spain.

Not easy to get to but well worth the effort, the restaurant was not open when we arrived but there was a good self service coffee machine and a fabulous selection of cakes to choose from without charge! Breakfast was self service and could not be faulted in any way (go for the scrambled egg when it is hot !), It was nice to wake up to the sound of the cow bells and the views are stunning. The people here are rightly very proud of their unique Basque (Vasco) heritage / language and that is what makes this place so attractive to me as a native minority language speaker.

It was great value and there was nothing to fault other than perhaps a little more directions/signposts as we arrived late in the dark and weren’t convinced we had found the hotel as the name on the automated gate wasn’t « Hotel Rural Mañe »

Beautiful location and good communication. The breakfast was included and proved both varied with lots of fresh fruit, cooked meats, eggs and freshly squeezed orange juice.

WiFi connection wasn't great. Only works in the reception and diningroom area. Perfect to switch off and relax. (-:

Hotel located in a secluded area in the middle of the Basque mountains but close enough to key locations. The rooms were spacious and with character. Staff was super friendly and helpful. As there is no bar or restaurant, guests are allowed to bring their own food and drinks and use it in the communal hotel facilities, which is very convenient. There is also free hot drinks and cakes (baked onsite) in the reception area. The hotel has super views and its a great place to hideaway and rest after a busy day visiting the sourrunging areas. Have I mentioned breakfast.... OMG! Soooo nice and abundant. All fresh, bread made on site, freshly squeezed orange juice and an amazing variety to enjoy a traditional Basque/Spanish breakfast. We'll definitely come back.

Nothing. Upon arrival, the access road is steep and narrow, but the truly steep and narrow section is not very long. Everyone can do it and traffic pays enough attention to avoid issues.

This is a great rural hotel on an even greater location. The apartment we had was fine and equipped with all we needed, while the hotel restaurant was great. The local food was perfectly cooked much to the enjoyment of all our family members!

Shame the terrace wasn't open, but not to worry, that didn't stop us enjoying the views from there.

The staff were outstanding. So friendly and went out of their way to help. The breakfast was genuinely one of the best quality and widest choice I have ever had. Our evening meals were quite simple but outstanding quality. And the views and peace are stunning. Lovely spacious room too.

Kitchen closed on Sundays. We were told this in a text that I read on arrival. No shops open in town so we had to buy tinned food from a garage. Breakfast was disappointing. Buffet with the only cooked option being a small omelette. Staff grumpy.

This is a hotel in an isolated position- a bit tricky to find. No access to other restaurants or shops. A forestry outlook. Not recommended for an overnight stop if you were on the way elsewhere. Bed had a plastic sheet attached which made for uncomfortable sleeping.

There was no one on reception to welcome you. Just a message with the keys in an envelope. It was very rural- a steep narrow road access and then once through the gates there were white vans and a bulldozer before you arrived at the house which was beautiful but the approach was off putting!
